The Airmate Automatic Hand Dryer HD240M is fully automatic and features solid-state infra-red control that automatically switches the unit on & off when hands are passed under the air outlet. It is an ideal choice for hotels, restaurants, large office buildings or public amenities etc.The Airmate hand dryer has rapid drying times which are achieved through the high velocity airflow and high wattage element. The hand dryer has a vandal resistant streamlined metal case and provides increased durability in high usage public access installations. Other features include: • Protection provided by a safety cut-out switch which monitors any objects accidentally placed beneath the unit. The hand dryer will automatically switch-off after continuously running for approximately 50 - 60 seconds and will not run again until any offending object is removed. • A directional rotating air outlet which allows 360 degree movement for multiple drying angles.

INSTALLATION CHECKLIST • Before installation, check to see that the cord & plug top has not been damaged through any rough treatment or during transport. • Ensure the mounting area is clear of any swinging doors or other features likely to cause damage to the unit. • The unit should be mounted in accordance with all building and electrical regulations. • Mount at least 220mm above bench tops, shelves or cupboards and 600mm or greater from any taps or sinks as per building & electrical regulations. • It is recommended that the electrical supply to this unit is protected by an RCD (safety switch).
MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS

IMPORTANT - THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED AND SHOULD ONLY BE INSTALLED BY A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN. 1. Remove the metal cover by unscrewing the 2 hex key bolts with the 5mm Allen key (12) supplied with the unit (Drawing 2 below). 2. Once the bolts are undone, tilt the cover outwards from the bottom, detaching from the base plate by lifting the cover upwards. Disconnect both the earth (13) and infra red sensor cables (11) (Drawing 2 below). 3. Fix the base plate to the wall with the 4 screws & anchors supplied or use 5mm masonry bolts. (For Mounting holes and template, Referto (Drawing 1 below) 4. Once base plate is mounted, re-connect the 2 cables at the points shown and re-fit the case to the base plate in order of the arrows numbered ( 1 2 3 4 ) in (Drawing 2 below). Ensure cover is fitted correctly and sitting flat against the base plate before tightening the 2 hex key bolts. To ensure cover is locked down, test by pulling forward gently on the unit. 5. The sensor is factory set and will detect any hand movement within the range of 0-11cm’s below the hand dryer. The hand dryer will stop automatically when the hand is removed

SERVICE & MAINTENANCE • To ensure optimum performance and maximum life from this hand dryer, the unit should be serviced on a regular basis by qualified personnel. • Servicing should be conducted every 6 months with heavy (high traffic) use & every 12 months with regular to light use. • Servicing should include cleaning the fan blades internally and removing all accumulated lint and dirt. • DO NOT CLEAN WHILE POWER IS TURNED ON • Only use non-abrasive liquid cleaners to clean the surface of the case if necessary, taking care not to wet any electrical components FAILURE TO SERVICE AND MAINTAIN THE HAND DRYER APPROPRIATELY WILL VOID THE WARRANTY
