Welcome to the Audio Visual Guide to Teaching Space Control Systems This guide is intended for those teaching areas equipped with AMX Touch Screen Systems. The control screen is shown below. The screen ‘goes to sleep’ if the system is not in use. To ‘wake up’ the screen, simply touch it. Having touched the screen to wake it you will see the following: If you wish to use the system, simply touch the screen again to continue. This is your last chance to change your mind. After this point the Lapel radio mics are able to be used. (the lectern mic is live even when control system is off ). You are now at the main page and it is at this point that you will need to select the equipment you wish to use. If you select a source that requires the Data Projector, this screen will appear. The screen relevant to your selection will then appear. If you wish to use the Provided PC then press the ‘PC’ option. If you are using a laptop, connect it to the data lead provided. Turn on laptop then press ‘laptop’. To control the volume, see ‘Volume’ page. ‘Exit’ returns you to the ‘Select Option’ page. To use the Electronic OHP, press the ‘Visual’ button. There are three pages for the control of the Visual Presenter. Press ‘More’ to advance to next page, or ‘Back’ to return to previous page. ‘Exit’ returns you to the ‘Select Option’ page. To use the VHS video, press ‘Video’. The following page is displayed, showing basic functions. The ‘More’ button takes you to advanced features. To control the volume, see ‘Volume’ page. ‘Exit’ returns you to the ‘Select Option’ page. If you wish to use the DVD then press ‘DVD’. The next page is displayed showing basic functions. The ‘More’ button takes you to advanced features. To control the volume, see ‘Volume’ page. ‘Exit’ returns you to the ‘Select Option’ page. If you wish to use 35mm slide Projection, press ‘Slides’. If you are in a theatre equipped with more than one projector, you get the following options. ‘Exit’ returns you to the ‘Select Option’ page. If you select Single Slide then you get a choice of which projector to use. ‘Exit’ returns you to the ‘Select Option’ page. Having selected the projector you wish to use, the control screen is then displayed for that projector. Selecting ‘Dual Individual’ or ‘Dual Together’ displays the following pages. ‘Dual Individual’ displays this screen. You can control each projector independently. ‘Dual Together’ displays this screen. Both projectors are controlled simultaneously. If in a mode using the data projector, this screen is displayed. ‘Leave On’ returns you to your previous mode. ‘Power Off’ shuts down the projector. ‘Blank Image’ leaves the projector on, but blanks the image (allowing you to use acetates or 35mm slides in the middle of a presentation). This screen is displayed if you try to restart the LCD projector before its ‘cool down’ period is over. If the lighting in the theatre you are using is controlled by the Touch Screen, then this screen is displayed. Touch the required lighting level. Shutting down the system returns lights to full. ‘Help’ displays this screen which contains contact information. The ‘Volume’ button displays the devices that allow volume to be controlled from the touch screen. This varies from theatre to theatre. To shut the system down press ‘Exit’ until you get to this screen, then press ‘SHUTDOWN SYSTEM’. Having pressed ‘Shutdown’, you are given the choice to continue with the shutdown or to return to the ‘Select Option’ screen. End of Presentation: We hope this presentation was useful for you.
