MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS:
➔ Once the clock is operational, it can be mounted on any even wall. Please note the necessary distance between drill holes (Fig. V). The enclosed anchors and screws are only suitable for solid walls. For all other walls, please use special anchors and screws (screw head of at least 8 mm Ø). ➔ Before mounting, check that there are no service pipes, e.g. for gas, electricity or water, in that part of the wall. ➔ There is a keyhole cut-out for wall-mounting on the back of the clock (Fig. I, )
STARTING YOUR WALL CLOCK
1 // Open the movement cover (located in the centre of the back of the clock) (Fig. I, ) 2 // Use the small wheel on the movement (Fig. II, ) to set the hands to the current time before putting in the battery. 3 // Insert a 1.5V AA battery into the battery case (Fig. II, ). Make sure it is the right way around (+/-). Use only the correct battery type for this clock (Mignon 1.5V AA). Please note: the battery is not included. If you have chosen a Sigel radio-controlled clock, please see below for more detailed start-up instructions under “Starting your radio-controlled wall clock (prod. codes WU 110 & WU 113)”. Once the battery has been inserted or the radio-controlled clock has been set, close the back of the clock case.
STARTING YOUR RADIO-CONTROLLED WALL CLOCK (PROD. CODES WU 110 & WU 113)
There is a time signal range of up to 1,500 km from the DCF77 transmitter, which is located near Frankfurt (Fig. IV). The signal may be weakened due to sources of interference such as building insulation (metal construction elements), high mountains or other elevations. The radio reception can also be disrupted by electro-magnetic rays, e.g. from computers, telephones, radios or televisions. If you cannot receive the radio signal, change the position of the clock or set the time manually. Please note that the correct time will only be displayed within the Central European time zone (MEZ). The clock will adjust to summer/winter time automatically. We recommend laying the clock down on a flat surface while it synchronises or while setting the clock manually. The radio-controlled clock calibrates the time with the transmitter 12 times a day (every 2 hours from 1 a.m.). It takes 3-12 minutes to receive the signal each time.
Automatic synchronisation
After the battery has been inserted, the time synchronises automatically. First the clock sets itself to 12 o’clock. The clock then begins to receive the radio signal. It can take up to 12 minutes until the correct time is shown. If the clock has not set itself to the correct time after 12 minutes, reception might be disrupted or not possible from the position you have chosen. Repeat the procedure in another location or press the RESET button (Fig. III, ).
Resetting your radio-controlled clock
Press the RESET button (Fig. III, ) to reset the clock. It will initially reset to 12 o’clock. Once the hands are in the 12 o’clock position, the clock will begin to receive the radio signal.
Setting your radio-controlled clock manually
If the clock is unable to pick up the radio signal, you can set the time manually. The clock then works like a normal quartz clock. To set the clock manually, press and hold down the M.SET button (Fig. III, ) for 3 seconds. To put the clock forward by 1 minute, press the M.SET button for 1 second. Alternatively, keep the M.SET button pressed down until the hands have reached the correct position. If the M.SET button has not been pressed for more than 8 seconds, the clock is set.
Activating the radio signal reception
If you have set the clock manually, you can also activate the radio signal reception manually. When the clock is operating manually, press the REC button (Fig. III, ) for 3 seconds to activate the clock’s calibration with the radio signal. First the clock will set to 12 o’clock, and will then try to pick up the radio signal. It can take up to 12 minutes until the correct time is shown. If the clock has not set itself to the correct time after 12 minutes, the reception might be disrupted. The clock will reset to the time it was displaying before the activation of the radio signal.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE:
➔ Change the battery if the clock is no longer showing the correct time or has stopped completely. ➔ Please remove the battery if the clock is not going to be in use for a long period of time. ➔ Please use a soft damp cloth to clean the clock. Do not use scouring agents or solvents!
INTENDED USE AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
➔ This wall clock should only be used in dry interior rooms. ➔ Do not expose the clock to vibrations or tremors. Use of the clock in any way other than described above can cause damage to the product. Moreover, this can also result in hazards such as a short circuit, fire or electric shock. ➔ For safety and licensing purposes (CE), the conversion and/or alteration of this product is not permitted. The clock must not be subjected to strong mechanical stress.

We offer a 5-year guarantee on this product. This guarantee applies to defects that can be traced back to faults in the material and manufacture of the clock. This guarantee does not apply in cases of mistreatment, negligence, incorrect usage or other methods of utilisation that do not comply with the enclosed instructions.
