Model #30-2156 Fringe Yagi UHF/HDTV Television Antenna
Internal 14dB Signal Amplifier
This antenna is equipped with a highly sensitive low noise signal amplifier, located directly at the driven element on the antenna boom. The purpose of this amplifier is to provide added signal strength on excessively weak signals that may not be high enough to be received by television set. The primary advantage of this amplifier is its location, directly at the point where the TV signal is received. While extremely weak signals may be present at this point on the antenna, they may not be strong enough to overcome normal cable losses or multi set antenna splitters. Even if you are only using an outdoor antenna on one set, there is likelihood that weak signals are not reaching your set due to cable loss. This amplifier ensures that as many stations as possible are reliably received. This amplifier provides 14dB of gain, enough to overcome more than 200’ of cable loss and a four-way antenna split. It is powered via the AC Adapter (not shown) and Power Inserter that are included with this antenna. To Television Set To Antenna

DC power inserter. Connects to provided 12VDC adaptor and injects power into the existing signal cable.
Special Installation Notes: The DC power inserter is designed to be located at the telelvison set, and provides power to the antenna mounted amplifier, via the same coaxial cable that provides the signal from the antenna to the set. It is ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL that the connectors on this cable are properly installed. If there is an interruption to the connection, the antenna will not recieve power and will not funtion, at all. Also, if the cable is shorted, such as if a strand from the shield comes in contact with the center conductor, the antenna will not recieve power, and the power supply may be damaged. It is very important to check these connections prior to installation. Use With Splitters: It is important that no filters or splitters be located between the DC Power Inserter and the antenna, unless those devices are DC power passive. Standard splitters will block the DC voltage from getting to the antenna, and no signal will be received at all. Your Stellar Labs Antenna dealer has a wide variety of DC Power Passive Splitters that will allow the signal to be split between the antenna and the DC Power Inserter.
