The MDR-1ABT replaces the MDR-1RBTMK2, premium Bluetooth headphone. Improvements include: High Resolution class Audio (via bluetooth), improved frequency response (100kHz vs. 80kHz, when wired) and improved audio quality due to the use of an aluminium-coated Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) diaphragm and other driver refinements. Improved comfort (new ear-cushions and head-band) and touch-controls also contribute to the premium features of this new model.

Driver unit/structure
Specs decoded/Passive-radiator: Low-frequency or ‘bass’ sounds are very difficult to achieve in compact speakers because the small diameter speaker driver cannot produce the large, slow soundwaves associated with bass. To overcome this, a passive radiator works, in conjunction with the driver, to extend bass and propagate low-frequency soundwaves through the movement of additional, similarly-sized driver cones. The additional cones are solely used for bass-creation and are not electronically driven.

Press the power button on the first unit then press and hold the ‘ADD’ button until you hear beeps and the (R)ight indicator is lit- the (L)eft indicator will flash. Press the power button on the second unit, then press and hold the ADD button. The L indicator will light up (and the R indicator will turn off) Pair a Smartphone to the unit with the flashing BT indicator (manually or using NFC).
