Installation and fixing of the data cable waterproof connector Outdoor AP uses special Ethernet waterproof connector. The equipment comes with a set of waterproof connectors (waterproof package), must pass through RJ-45 first before installing the Ethernet. Then compress the Ethernet cable connector; for the Ethernet cable, please use STP outdoor shielding. Please complete shielding and AP grounding. To install the waterproof head, please reference the following steps. When installing, please tighten the screw nut to prevent moisture from seeping into the AP.

Chapter 3 Base Station Installation Reference Because of the installation location, station installation can be generally categorized as wall installation and base installation. Generally speaking, wall installation is the preferred choice. This is because compared with base installation, drilling holes in walls is less likely to create roof leaks (just pay attention to whether there are pipes behind the wall or if there is a water tower at the top) and has lower cost. However, actual installation method must be determine by the electrician and the owner. Additional notice 1. The network cable used cannot exceed 100 (m).The location of the base station will affect the length of cable used along the cable route. 2. The antenna height shall not exceed 45 degrees the height of the lightning arrester’s protective corners. 3. RF Cable length will produce a certain amount of attenuation. 4. Waterproofing must be conducted for the installation site. 5. Antenna should be installed in a location without obstructions. Make sure that the antenna is in a vertical position. 6. AP installation location should be convenient for personnel to make maintenances. 7. AP, lightning arrester, and other related equipment should be grounded.

Wall type installation: 915MHz antenna
The two antennas must be placed 100 cm apart GPS antenna
AP
Figure 19 A complete wall installation Step 01. Avoid installing on walls that is on the same side as the water tower. Step 02. Mount kit fix onto holes drilled in the wall. Tap in screw anchor to fix in location. Install AP to the mounting kit.

Step 03. The customized metal piece in the figure is used to fix the antenna and the GPS. 1.
The antenna uses a provided mount kit or customized U shape piece for fixing on the customized metal piece. Note: Use a level to make certain that the antenna is vertical.
Figure 22 Measure with level 2.
Put GPS antenna into a 1inch PVC pipe first, then use 1inch 2U shape screw to fix on the angle iron horizontal rod.

Step 04. Lightning arresting equipment grounding can be fixed on the customized metal piece or use the mount kit to connect to the screw cap on the wall, which can achieve the best grounding effect. Diameter of the grounding cable is 5.5 mm2
Figure 28 Lightning arrester equipment grounding -1
Figure 29 Lightning arrester equipment grounding -2
27
Step 05. Antenna and RF cable connector should be wrapped with electrical tape or even grease to achieve the best waterproofing effects. Step 06. Network cable connector should use waterproof connector. Network cable to the server room should be 6/8" inch PVC soft pipe for cover. Network cable and RF cable should be fixed to avoid being swayed by wind.

Base type installation:
100cm
Figure 31 An example of a completed base station Step 01. Determine if the roof will leak because of installation (have the electrician make the evaluation) Step 02. The thickness of the cement base (should be at least 6 cm or more.) Different cement content will have different curing time. Note, must have the required thickness. Step 03. Fix galvanized pipe base. The four-point fixing is as shown in the figure.

Step 04. Install the angle iron horizontal rod (the thickness of the angle iron should be approximately 5 mm). Use Uring to fix the angle iron horizontal rod on the top of the galvanized pipe. Step 05. For AP, use mount kit to fix on the top of galvanized pipe. Step 06. Use the attached mount kit or customized U ring to fix the antenna on the angle iron horizontal rod. Ps.use level to make certain the antenna is vertical. Step 07. Place GPS antenna in a 1 inch PVC pipe, then use 1 inch 2U shape screw to fix on angle iron horizontal rod. Step 08. Antenna and RF cable connector should be wrapped with electrical tape or even grease to achieve waterproofing effect. Step 09. Network cable connector should use waterproof connector. Network cable to the server room should be 6/8" inch PVC soft pipe for cover. Network cable and RF cable should be fixed to avoid being swayed by wind. Step 10. The diameter of the ground wire from the lightning arrester to the AP should be 5.5 mm2.
