Sizing The transformers are sized by the number of actuators on the heating and/or cooling outputs. At start, a larger amount of effect is used, which will gradually decrease after a few seconds. Calculate both heating and cooling actuators because the system has NO actuators on the heating output. When the total VA consumption on both outputs and controllers has been calculated, then choose a transformer that has a greater effect (VA), than the calculated value.
