ARCADE MASTER TV Pad Instructions Power Supply Product Operation Important safety: • Hold the game pad carefully in the palm of your hand and open the battery compartment: first remove the screw (depends on version) using a suitable screw driver, then press down on the latch and lift the cover. Congratulations on your new MILLENNIUM Games Console. We hope you will have a lot of fun with it. Please follow the instructions in this manual to make the best possible use of the product. When playing via the TV set, ensure that nobody can trip over the connecting cable! Controls Important Warning (Epilepsy) Please read these notes before using the video game or letting your child play with it. Some people are susceptible to epileptic seizures or loss of consciousness when exposed to certain flashing lights or other light patterns. Such people may suffer a seizure when playing with computer and video games. This may even affect people who have no previous medical history of epilepsy and who have never before had any epileptic seizures. If you or anyone in your family have ever had symptoms possibly related to epilepsy (e.g. loss of consciousness or seizures) when exposed to flashing lights, please consult your doctor before using the game. Children should always be supervised by their parents when using computer and video games. Should you or your child experience symptoms such as dizziness, blurred vision, eye or muscle twitches, loss of awareness, disorientation, or any form of involuntary movements or convulsions while operating a computer or video game, IMMEDIATELY discontinue use and consult your doctor before playing again. Precautions while Using the Product • Do not get too close to the screen. • Do not play if you are tired or have had insufficient sleep. • Ensure that the room in which you play is always well lit and ventilated. • Take a break of at least 10-15 minutes per hour when playing a video game. EU Certificate of Conformity MILLENNIUM 2000 GmbH hereby certifies that this product (Arcade Master TV Pad) conforms to the basic requirements and other relevant regulations laid down in the directives 88/378/eec (toys) and 2004/108/eec (EMC). • The Game Pad requires four 1.5 Volt batteries type 'AA' or 'LR06'. • When inserting the batteries, ensure correct polarity (+/-), see diagram inside the compartment. • Replace the cover of the battery compartment. Important Battery Information • Batteries should only be installed by an adult. • Only use batteries of the recommended type (4 x AA), and never mix old and new batteries. • Batteries must always be inserted with the correct polarity (+ or -). • Exhausted batteries are to be removed as soon as possible. • The battery terminals must never be shortcircuited! • If the unit is not used for a week or longer, the batteries should be removed from the unit. • Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged. • Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the unit before being charged. • Adult supervision is required while charging the batteries. • Do not dispose of exhausted batteries with the household rubbish. Take them to a hazardous waste depot. There are the following controls on your game pads: ON/OFF: Switch the unit on or off. Once it is running, the LED light is turned on. MENU: Press this key to go back to the main menu. START: Starts the game selected in the main menu. DIRECTION PAD: Usually used to control the actor in the games. See game description for details. A, B & C: The Action buttons. For details look at the game descriptions, or you give it a try! AV Cable: This one connects the game pad with the AV input of your TV. How to connect the game pad to TV Here is how to connect the game pad to the television: 1. Insert the yellow CINCH plug of the AV cable into the yellow (video) CINCH socket on your television. 2. Insert the white CINCH plug into the white (audio) CINCH socket on your television. 3. The red audio socket on the television is not used. 4. Switch on your television set, and select the 'VIDEO IN' (normally AV) channel. If you are not sure how this works, refer to the instructions for your television set. 5. Switch on the game pad. The main menu of the game pad should now appear on the TV screen. TV Requirements Your television must meet the following requirements: • It must be a PAL standard set. • The TV set must be equipped with CINCH sockets for TV/Video (yellow) and Audio (white/red), preferably at the front of the set. • If you only have SCART instead of CINCH sockets, you may be able to use a SCART adaptor which is obtainable from a dealer. Troubleshooting No picture on TV • • • • Connect the AV cable Turn on Game Pad Turn TV on Set TV to AV input No game sound on TV • Ensure the AV cable is connected correctly • Increase the VOL of the TV • Ensure TV is not under mute mode Picture is blinking or distorted • Switch off Game Pad and switch it on again • Check Batteries Abnormal game player behaviour After you play for an extended period of time, the battery will run out and you will start noticing that the game player begins to behave abnormally (e.g. going back to main menu automatically, pressing buttons automatically). Please use fresh batteries to replace the old batteries when this happens. There is a possibility that the unit may be subjected to an electrostatic charge. In this case, restart the unit by removing and then re-installing the batteries; this will ensure proper functioning. The Software Main Menu – select a game Once you see the Main Menu on your TV screen, do the following to select and start a game: • There is more than one game page, therefore press the 'LEFT' or 'RIGHT' key to change the page. • Press the 'UP' or 'DOWN' key to highlight a game on that page. • Press the 'START' key to enter the selected game. Press the 'MENU' key anytime to return to the main menu and to select another game. Astro Warrior Make you way across gigantic galaxies in your exciting space-shooter.
