Release Notes A new product line T20 - Remote transmitter with radio receiver reader. We are now launching a number of remote transmitters that can be connected to our access control systems, ARX, RX and RiTA. Together with the remote transmitters we also launch a radio receiver reader and a card input reader. The remote transmitters makes it possible to control gates, entry doors, barriers or other door applications.
Remote transmitter T20S: There are a number of different versions of the remote transmitters, depending on the amount of buttons you want to use and in what environment they are to be used. A rugged reader has been developed that can withstand rough environments and handling. A holder that can be used for car mounting of the rugged reader is also available. The remote transmitter has a unique ID-number and is handled by ASSA's access control system as an ordinary card or tag and can have access rights and be connected to a person. Each button can be programmed for one or several receivers. The ID of the remote transmitter is programmed into ASSA's access control system via a card input reader T20I. The transmitter range is 100 meters according to specification.

ASSA AB Technical Bulletin October 2010 Radio receiver reader T20M The radio receiver will receive a signal from the remote transmitter and send this information as a card number to ARX, RX or RiTA. This is done via a 400RW22 board or 6390IF interface to a DAC420, DAC430, DAC500 or LCU9101. There are a number of antennas available for the receiver depending on the type of door application that is to be connected to the radio reader. Ranges may vary depending on the environment where the reader is mounted. Type of antenna T20M with no antenna

Card input reader T20I: T20I is a card input reader for the remote transmitters. The reader can be easily connected to the computers serial-port or to the USB-port via an adapter. By pressing any button on the selected remote transmitter, the transmitters unique ID will be sent to the access control system via T20I and be stored as a card number. The card input reader works in the same way as ASSA's other card input readers PCI 10 and 15 and can be used with the ARX, RX or RiTA access control systems.
Application examples If you have three garage doors next to each other you should install three T20M radio receiver readers, one for each door. Each receiver is programmed to listen to one of the remote transmitters buttons, as a suggestion, door number 1 gets button 1, door number 2 gets button 2 and so on. When a user arrives at these doors he selects which door he wants to pass through by pushing the corresponding button on the remote transmitter, let's say that the user selected door 3. The receiver that is programmed to listen for button 3 will send the remote transmitters "card number" to ARX. If the user is allowed to pass through the selected door, it will be opened for easy access. The remote transmitter will send the same ID regardless of the button you push, the button is used to identify which radio receiver reader that will send the information to ARX. If a customer should happen to have several doors in different locations in a city, for example the 3 above and 2 others on the other side of the city, you would not need a transmitter with five buttons to handle this but three would be enough. The buttons can be reused also for these doors, It is the ID and access rights in ARX that decides whether you get in or not. It is important to consider the range in this case, the radio receiver readers can not be in the same area.
