Position: Associate ASIC Design Engineer – Full-time Location: Toronto, Canada Responsibilities: The successful candidate will work under the mentorship of a senior technical staff and contribute to a wide range of ASIC design responsibilities including:
Specification and development of digital designs Logic synthesis, physical design and timing closure Development and implementation of design verification plans and test cases Execution, management and analysis of test results Preparation of technical documentation FPGA prototyping Scripting and design automation
Qualifications & Requirements:
Graduating student or recent graduate of a Master/Bachelor of Electrical/Computer Engineering program or equivalent Attention to detail, innovative, enthusiastic and the ability to be a creative team player while working independently Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills Proficient in written and verbal English Working experience in at least one the following areas is an asset but not required: o Digital design using Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog or SystemC o Computer architecture o Audio/Video processing and compression o High-speed serial interfaces such as PCI-Express, SATA, USB and HDMI

Digital ASIC design tools such as VCS, Design Compiler, IC Compiler and PrimeTime Design prototyping using FPGA Linux environment and scripting languages such as Bash and Perl C/C++ programming language
