"The premier video edge device for delivery mission critical, real-time MPEG video over IP and ATM broadband networks"
Astria® Content Processor 200
For professionals involved in Broadcast Video, Surveillance, and Enterprise applications, Tut Systems Astria CP 200 is the premier video edge device for delivering mission critical, high-quality MPEG video in real-time. As a pioneer in video transport technology, Tut Systems' heritage includes being the first to deliver broadcast-quality video over a fiber optic network – during the 1980 Winter Olympics. In addition, the company led the development of the MPEG-2 standard and is active in MPEG-4 standards committees. The Astria CP 200 builds on that legacy, providing a tested and reliable solution for delivering full-motion video of the highest-quality MPEG-2/4 video and MPEG-1 audio available. The Astria CP 200 is managed by an intuitive, web-based graphical interface and integrates with leading video management software to provide a flexible and economical video scheduling solution for broadcasters or distance learning applications. Each chassis is capable of holding multiple encoders, decoders and DVB-ASI interfaces. The Astria CP 200 processes both analog and digital content and accomodates a variety of network interfaces.
Broadcast Video Applications
Optimized for the broadcast industry, the Astria CP 200 maintains video quality throughout the compression and decompression process. It provides the fastest, most robust point-to-point transmission system for broadcasters by ensuring that the resolution and integrity of the content is not compromised during delivery via MPEG-2 4:2:2@ML.
Enterprise Applications
Reliability, low latency and high resolution make the Astria CP 200 ideal for broadband conferencing applications such as distance learning, videoconferencing and other real-time collaboration. The low latency feature of the Astria CP 200 allows for natural communications and continuous presence to ensure the highest video and audio quality during two-way communications.
Surveillance Applications
For facilities that require on-site or remote monitoring for security, military, or space exploratory purposes, the Astria CP 200 provides the highresolution, low latency and system reliability that is needed for accurate notification, identification and response.
