Attached SPIFFs Earn up to $450 in SPIFFs with attached service and supplies. Now there’s an easy way to increase your rewards and profits on the sale of a printer or MFP. Simply add a service agreement and a set of toner cartridges (or solid ink sticks) to maximize your SPIFFs and help assure your customer’s long term satisfaction. Customer benefits—extended service After the standard warranty period (typically one year), the cost of a typical service call is between $800 to $1,100 for a 25-35 ppm color laser or solid ink printing device. This includes parts, labor, travel, and fees. Comparatively, the cost of a two year extended service agreement is only $299 to $649. The cost of an extended service agreement more than pays for itself with only one service call during the coverage period.

Sell an extended service agreement at the time of the printer or MFP sale and you’ll earn an additional SPIFF. Soon after their purchase, your customer will need to buy more toner or solid ink. When they buy at the time of the printer or MFP sale, you’ll earn an additional supplies SPIFF**. The table below shows a few examples of how product, service, and supplies SPIFFs add up.

Available through March 31, 2011 Customer benefits—supplies Ink and toner are the most frequently used supplies, besides paper. When a customer buys a replacement printer or MFP one of the key benefits is increased speed. Their new, high-performance printer will quickly become an office favorite and pages will naturally migrate there. To ensure uninterrupted printing advise your customers to keep a back-up set of toner or ink sticks on hand, ready for use.
