(SC July ‘11) An improved version of the K 5151 Mk. 2 edition. It features less than half as much distortion at frequencies of 2kHz or above. It also boasts much improved thermal stability & flatter frequency response. Produces incredibly low levels of distortion even at high power outputs. The class AB design runs much cooler than genuine class A amplifiers, yet performance has not been sacrificed. It produces 135W into 8Ω or 200W into 4Ω with distortion levels around 0.006%. Heatsink is not supplied. We suggest the H 0536 diecast heatsink for a professional finish when mounted in a case. It delivers 135W RMS per channel into 8 ohms (or 200W RMS into 4 ohms). It utilises two of the K 5154 Mk. 3 amplifier module kits, plus power supply board, toroid, speaker protector kit, input and pre-amp boards - all supplied in a stylish 2RU all metal chassis. 12V 20 Watt Amplifier Module Kit (SC May 2010) Amplifiers which run from 12V DC generally don’t put out much power and they are usually not hi-fi as well. But this little stereo amplifier ticks the power and low distortion boxes. With a 14.4V DC supply, it will deliver 20 watts per channel into 4 Ohm loads at clipping while harmonic distortion at lower power levels is typically less than 0.03%. Price Each
