Audix proudly announces the CX112B and CX212B, the most recent upgrades in the CX series of large diaphragm studio condenser microphones. These microphones, which have been in the Audix family for nearly 10 years, take advantage of the latest advancements in diaphragm materials, capsule technology and electronic circuitry components. The upgrades are truly impressive, offering improved performance in nearly every area including better sound quality, lower noise floor, wider dynamic range, reduced handling and touch noise, and a more compact design. The CX112B and CX212B's are aimed at the home recording market as well as live sound and broadcast. Both microphones feature a 35 mm capsule and a 27.5 mm (1.08") gold vapor diaphragm mounted with a side-address design. The CX112B, characterized with a single-sided diaphragm producing a cardioid polar pattern, also includes a bass roll-off filter and a 10 dB pad allowing for sound pressure levels of up to 145 dB. The companion CX212B features a dual diaphragm design which enables multipattern operation: cardioid, omni-directional, and figure 8. Additionally, the CX112 includes a bass roll-off filter to help eliminate rumble and vibration. While mainly recognized as vocal studio microphones, the CX112B and CX212B prove to be excellent for a wide variety of applications including guitar cabs, overheads, piano, stringed instruments, brass, woodwinds, and ambient room miking.

SKB Releases the 1SKB-R1906 6U Roller Case

As a follow up to the overwhelming success of the 1SKB-R104 10x4 rack case, SKB announces the availability of the larger version, the 1SKB-R106 10x6 rack case and the 1SKB-R1906 6U Roller Case. The 1SKB-R106 is a 10U slanted top and 6U front, rack case that features steel threaded rails, hardcover lid and doors, side access ports (for cable routing) and has enough space to mount the new AV-8 shelf with the lid closed! The 1SKB-R106 has a one piece, unibody base, roto-molded of Linear Medium Density Polyethylene (LMDPE) that provides maximum protection for DJ and audio gear. The 1SKB-R106 includes an Injection molded lid, front and rear doors. The front door is attached and hinged to the lid to make pack up a snap. Two SKB patented TSA locking trigger latches secure the lid while the flat hard top allows for stacking in transport and storage. There are two removable side panels that are ideal for cable routing while the full size back lid provides maximum access to the rack gear and can be left in place to maintain a clutterfree performance. The 1SKB-R1906 is the ideal companion for the 1SKB-R104 and 1SKB-R106 rack cases. Providing 12U of additional rack spaces (6 front/6U back), the rolling 1SKB-R1906 allows for secure stacking for the 1SKB-R104, 1SKB-R106 or even the 1SKB19-R1006 Mini Gig Rig or 1SKB19-R1010 Gig Rig. The 1SKB-R1906 can even stack on itself! The 1SKB-R1906 includes (4) heavy duty, locking casters and full size front and rear doors that incorporate SKB's Patented TSA Locking Trigger Latches.

The Audix BOOM-CG is a boom arm that attaches to the CabGrabber or CabGrabber-XL making virtually ANY miking position possible. The boom arm features a steel adjustable rod that enables the CabGrabber to extend up to an additional 12 inches for a wide variety mic placement options on your guitar or bass cabinet. The BOOM-CG simply screws on to the adjustable angled arm of the CabGrabber or CabGrabber-XL and can be moved into a variety of positions by the twist of a thumbscrew.
