In no time at all, Pro Export FCP interprets the exported FCP sequence. All the layers in the timeline are added to the OMF file, so you don’t have to export a separate file for each video track. Speed changes are correctly translated, as are freeze frames. Dissolves are translated, and Final Cut Pro log notes are translated into master clip comments in the Avid bin! Even audio level keyframes are converted! And if you’re finishing your audio in Pro Tools, Pro Export FCP gives you the industry’s best interchange to take your audio, including media, levels and volume keyframes into Pro Tools.
The accuracy of the translation will amaze you. Not only will all your layers come across in one import, but many Avid effects are translated into FCP equivalents. Avid Picture-in-Picture parameters are turned into Scale and Position adjustments in the Motion Tab. Superimpose effects are turned into Opacity settings. Even keyframes are translated! Pro Import FCP can also import OMF compositions from Digital Audio Workstations like Pro Tools!
