Ballarat Mobility Map
Whether you are a visitor to Ballarat or a resident, the Ballarat Mobility Guide will assist you to access the city in a safe, easy, accessible and enjoyable way. The map is designed for people with a mobility impairment - those who have trouble negotiating the physical environment and may require use of a scooter or wheelchair to get around.
Note You will notice that the legend refers to toilets being “accessible” this means that they are designed for wheelchair users. It also refers to toilets that are “public” or “private” – the private toilets are those that are open to the public but are located in a private business such as Myer, Big W, supermarkets and McDonalds.
Permits The Statewide Disabled Persons Parking Permit Scheme provides a number of parking concessions based on the applicant’s need for assistance. Persons who hold a Blue Category 1 Disabled Persons Parking Permit may park in the designated accessible parking bays identified on this map.
This map has been created by the City of Ballarat as part of the RuralAccess Program and expertise and advice from the Infrastructure units.
