Object of the Game: To correctly guess where the flies are hiding and collect the most flies.
Set Up: Before playing for the first time, place one eye sticker and one mouth sticker on each fly, and two round eye stickers and one mouth sticker on each frog cup (see Picture 1).
Playing the game: The oldest player becomes the Frog by placing the Froggles on his/her forehead and sliding the adjustable elastic band around the back of his/her head. The other players sit across from the Frog. Players who are not wearing the Froggles select a frog cup and place it in front of them on the table. The player on the Frog’s left takes one fly and hides it under his/her cup. Only one fly can be in play during each round.
After a fly has been concealed, the Frog pulls the Froggles down over his/her eyes (see Picture 2). The eyes on the Froggles should be in the closed position. To begin the game, the Frog moves the ON/OFF switch on the Froggles to the ON position. The eyelids on the Froggles will begin to open and close at random. When the player with the fly under his/her cup thinks the Froggles are closed, s/he uses the cup to slide the fly to another player, who catches it and covers it with his/her cup (see Picture 3). That player then slides the fly back to the original player or to another player. Players must hide the fly completely under their cups before passing it. Players must pass the fly each time the eyelids on the Froggles close. Each time the eyelids on the Froggles close the players who are not wearing the Froggles must call out the number of times they have closed. The Frog must wait until the eyelids on the Froggles have closed three times before guessing which player is hiding the fly. After the eyelids on the Froggles close three times, the Frog must try to guess which player is hiding the fly by pointing to that player and calling his/her name. The selected player must lift his/her cup to reveal whether the fly is there or not. If the Frog guesses correctly the Frog keeps the fly and places it in his/her pile, out of play. His/her turn as the Frog is over. If the Frog guesses incorrectly the fly stays under the cup for the next round and his/her turn as the Frog is over. If the Frog does not call a player’s name within 60 seconds, his/her turn is over. After each round the Frog passes the Froggles to the player on his/her left, and takes that player’s cup. If the Frog passes the Froggles to a player who has the fly under his/her cup, the Frog takes the cup and the fly. The player with the fly under his/her cup begins the next round. The new Frog puts on the Froggles and play continues until the last fly in the game has been taken.
Winning the Game: After the last fly has been taken, players count the flies they have collected. The player with the most flies is the winner.
