Warranty for BEG LUXOMAT® products BEG products are produced using state-of-the-art technology and are quality tested. Should a fault arise in spite of this, BEG GmbH provides the following warranty: a) Term The term of the warranty is 36 months following purchase of the unit by th customer. b) Scope The unit shall be repaired of manufactured once again free of charge by BEG in its factory at its discretion if it is proved that a manufacturing of material fault has rendered it unsuitable for use or hase considerably limited its usefulnes within the warranty period. c) Exclusion The warranty for defects shall not apply to natural wear and tear or transport damages. Neither shall it apply to damages resulting from failure to observe the installation instructions or unprofessional installation. BEG is to be allowed the necessary time and opportunity to remedy the defect. BEG shall not assume liability for the consequence of improper modifications or repair work. This shall also apply to the supply of individual and replacement parts. BEG shall not assume liability for indirect, consequential and pecuniary loss. d) Period of limitation Should BEG nor recognize notification of defects made on time, the right to assert claims arising from the defects of the party entitled to the warranty shall become statutebarred in all cases 6 months following the date on which the notification of the defect was made on time. e) Return of the defect unit In the event of the warranty being availed of, the unit must be submitted to us through the specialist retailer together with the warranty card filled in and the sales receipt, as well as a short description of the defect.

Always mount the lamps above, not under the motion sensor. Protected installation location The LUXOMAT® wireless motion sensor should be protected from rain and direct sunlight in order to prevent undesired environmental influences. Installing several motion sensors The detection zones of the individual units must overlap to ensure continuous surveillance.

2. Installation and start-up
-1-
For ceiling installation, rotate the sensor portion and the conduit box 180° opposite each other in the counter-clockwise direction. The motion sensor can be used for ceiling installation without the need of any additional devices.
3. Starting up: Setting the security codes 0-F All system subscribers (transmitter and receiver) must have the same code in order to communicate. As a result, break-in learning is unnecessary.

*With activated 360° creep protection, level 3 is combined with the radius of the safety zone and level 4 lies outside this zone. The stated detection range areas apply to the electronic standard sensitivity as well as mechanical detection range adjustment in (+) position and are approximate values. 5. Function test: controls and settings The controls are placed under the removable guard ring. By pressing it together with your fingers, the guard ring can be easily removed
4.1. Features, detection range diagram The LUXOMAT® wireless motion sensor has a special feature in addition to its 4 levels of lenses that are each assembled from individual lenses: 360° optics that are pointed downward that are either used as creep protection or are used when installing above doors allows rearward surveillance without forfeiting forward detection range. This increases comfort when leaving the building. The stated detection ranges refer to an installation height of 2.5m and to an ambient temperature of +18°C (despite integrated temperature detection-range stabilisation, slight changes in the detection range can occur at changed ambient temperatures

Example:
The on-interval of the connected lighting is adjustable via this control knob between 15 sec. and 16 min. If a motion reoccurs within this time, the timer is reset and the follow-up time is accordingly extended.
7. Mechanical detection range adjustment
A
C= Mechanical detection range adjustment: maximum setting (+, clockwise up to stop)
This adjustment is purely an optical range adaptation and enables a precise, area by area limitation of the detection range. The two zones in the 230° sensor can be restricted in their areas independent of each other. Through the infrared detector’s height adjustment, it „sees” more or less with constant electronic sensitivity. By using the supplied clips, small areas can be selectively blocked out.
D = Function indicator: LED behind the lens illuminates on every detected movement As the functions indicator cannot be easily seen during strong sunlight or at greater distances, the connected light (receiver) always flashes briefly to confirm the detected motion in the test mode. By so doing, the detection range of the LUXOMAT® wireless motion sensor can be comfortably paced off. 6. Swivelling the spherical head This is used to uniformly reduce the entire detection range. The sensor head can be swivelled 45° vertically and 90° horizontally. Furthermore, a sideways swivelling of 10° is possible. So that it is quick and easy to return to a previously adjusted condition, a scale is printed on the spherical head for vertical swivelling. For horizontal swivelling, a scale is engraved on the housing.

A) 360° Creep protection B) Individual segments Basically, it can be said that all measures for detection range adaptation serve to reduce interference, e.g. through bushes, trees, streets, street sides, traffic routes, neighbours property, etc. After carry out a successful function / walking test, the twilight value and the desired switch-off delay can be set. Adjusting the twilight switch
Impulse mode: (Set clockwise up to stop) In this position, a gong, for example, can be triggered. Impulse duration 1 sec. ON, 9 sec. OFF. Please observe the following instructions: • The transmission of all motion sensor parameters is performed via wireless signal to the receiver. No additional switching relay is present. Thus, combining with the LUXOMAT® AL5 RC-plus 500 spotlight is not possible (page 7/point 7 in the RC-plus operating manual is not applicable). • This means only the phase (L) and the earth wire (N) are needed to make the electrical connection. • The functions (Party = continuous light ON/OFF) via the remote control LUXOMAT® IR-RC are not possible (page 19/20 in the RC-plus operating instructions do not apply). However, the LUXOMAT® WIRELESS mobile wireless 4-channel transmitter can be used parallel to automatic operation of the motion sensor and thus manually switched at any time (continuous light ON/OFF). • The maximum number of transmitters in one system (same safety diode) is 10. Please observe the included instructions on wireless, installation instructions.
