SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please observe the following safety instructions carefully before putting the unit into operation. Take note of the warnings on the unit and in this manual. Always keep the instruction manual near at hand. If you sell or pass on the product, make sure to include this manual together with the unit.
Do not let young children use electrical devices unattended. Swallowing batteries may be fatal. Therefore always keep batteries inaccessible to young children. If a battery has been swallowed, consult a doctor immediately. Also keep the plastic packaging away from children. There is danger of suffocation!
Make sure that the unit is not exposed to: • • • •
humidity or moisture; direct sunlight or other direct heat (e. g. from radiators or other stereo equipment); constant vibration; strong dust or places without ventilation.
Do not repair the unit yourself. Under no circumstances attempt to open or repair the unit yourself. There is danger of electric shock! Refer all servicing to our Service Center or to another qualifed workshop.
CLEANING If necessary, disconnect the AC adaptor before cleaning the unit. To clean the unit, only use a moistened, soft cloth. Do not apply chemical solvents or cleaning agents, as they may damage the surface and/or labelling of the unit.

INSTALLATION CONNECTING THE LINE CORD Insert one end of the AC line cord into the AC power jack on the rear of the unit and the other end into a conveniently lacted AC outlet 230 V ~ Hz. The batteries are automatically disconnected when the AC adapter is used.
INSERTING BATTERIES The battery compartment is located on the bottom of the unit. Remove the battery compartment door by pressing the tab and lift the battery door off. Insert 6 x 1,5 V R14/LR* 14 C size cell batteries (not included), observing the battery polarity indicated inside the compartment in the figure.
Close the battery compartment before taking the unit into operation. * We recommend to use alkaline batteries for durability.
BATTERY PRECAUTIONS! • Do not mix different types of batteries or old batteries with fresh ones. • If the device is not to be used for a long period of time, remove the batteries. They may leak.
HEADPHONE JACK Insert headphones (not included) into the Headphones jack for private listening. The speakers will be disconnected when listening with headphones. Turn the volume down before you put on the headphone.

CHANGING THE DISNEY FACEPLATE
Press on the left and right sides of the lid, then slightly rotate counter-clockwise.
Gently pull out the lid and remove it from the CD door.
Remove the faceplate which is located on the top of the CD door.
To insert another Disney faceplate, make sure the faceplate’s notches are inserted into the CD door’s pegs.
When inserted, correctly, it will look like the Insert the lid back onto the CD door, making above illustration. sure the tabs on the lid are inserted correctly into the slots on the CD door. Rotate it clockwise until it is locked in place.

OPERATION (CONT.) TO LISTEN TO THE RADIO Antennas FM: The FM Rod Antenna is for FM reception only. If reception is weak, adjust the length orientate the antenna. AM – This unit has a built-in ferrite rod antenna, which provides adequate reception in most areas. If reception is weak, turn the unit to improve reception.
Press the Power button to turn the unit on or Slide the FUNCTION switch to the AM or off. FM position to select a band.
Tune in a station by rotating the TUNING Adjust the volume using the volume control ring. – You will see the set frequency in the display.

TO INSERT AND PLAY A DISC
Press the POWER button to turn the unit on (1). Slide the FUNCTION switch to the CD position (2).
Open the CD compartment by pressing theCD Open/Close area. Place a disc on thespindle, label side up, and close the CDcompartment door.
Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start play- Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to pause back (1). „PLAY“ will appear in the display. playback . „PLAY“ will blink. Press PLAY/ Adjust the VOLUME control (2) as desired. PAUSE again to resume playback.
To skip forward or backward through the tracks on the disc, press the SKIP- (1) or SKIP+ (2) button.
To search forward ord backward through the musikc on a disc, press and hold the SKIP- (1) or SKIP+ (2) button.

Press the STOP button to stop the disc. The To turn the unit off, press the POWER butCD is now in the stop mode. When the disc ton again. is through playing, it will stop rotating.
Notes • If a disc is inserted incorrectly, dirty, damaged or not present at all , ”00” will appear in the display. • As each track is played, the track number is shown in the display. • To prevent damage to the disc, never open the CD door while the disc is rotating. Wait for the disc to stop before opening the CD door. Never touch the lens when the CD compartment door is open. • DO NOT use the carrying handle when playing a CD. The CD should only be used on a steady surface.
TO REPEATEDLY PLAY BACK ONE TRACK/ALL TRACKS
To repeat a single track, press the REPEAT button (1) once; „RPT“ will blink in the display. Press SKIP- (2) or SKIP+ (3) to select the specific track that you wish to repeat. Then press PLAY/PAUSE (4), and the selected track will be repeated continuously.
To repeat all of the tracks on a disc continuously, press REPEAT (1) twice; „RPT“ will light permanently. Press PLAY/PAUSE (2), and all tracks will be repeated continuously.
To cancel REPEAT playback, press the REPEAT button repeatedly until „RPT“ disappears from the display.
