WARRANTY POLICY BLH STOP DROP BARRICADING AND GUARDING SYSTEM TM
Definitions: “BLH Safety Solutions™or We” means International Safety Solutions™ 200 Flinders Street, Beauty Point, Tasmania, Australia and any company being a subsidiary of it or forming part of the BLH Group of Companies and which issues a Purchase Order Acceptance. “BLH Safety Solutions™ Accredited Installer” means an installer whom has attended BLH training courses and service (including train the trainer) in respect of the installation of the BLH system and has been certified by BLH upon the completion of the BLH training course. “BLH Systems” means the BLH Stop Drop™ Barricading System and BLH Guarding System includes all the BLH Components thereof and modification and improvements thereof made from time to time. “Certificate of Currency” means a certificate issued by an ASIC approved Australian insurer and if outside Australia, an industry and Government approved insurer of that country providing the following policy details: Policy number; Insurer; Period of insurance; Product insured; and Interested parties. “Customer or You” means the company placing the Purchase Order with BLH Safety Solutions™ for the supply of Goods and/or Services. “Delivery Address” means the place or site for delivery of the Goods as specified on the Purchase Order or other written notification issued by the Customer “Goods” means any goods, products, or materials to be supplied by BLH Safety Solutions™ and includes the BLH Systems. “Purchase Order” is an order or offer to purchase Goods and/or Services by the Customer made in accordance with Standard Terms and Conditions for the Supply of the BLH Stop Drop™ Barricading System and BLH Guarding System. “Purchase Order Acceptance” means an acceptance in writing by BLH Safety Solutions™ of a Purchase Order. “Receipt of Goods Acknowledgement” means written notification in the form specified by BLH Safety Solutions™ given by the Customer to BLH Safety Solutions™ that Goods the subject of the Contract have been delivered to the Customer.

“Goods Defects Warranty” 1. Subject to clause 3 and 4, BLH warrants to the Customer that the Goods will be free from defects in material and workmanship for the warranty period of twenty- four (24) months from the date that BLH Safety Solutions™ receives from the Customer a Receipt of Goods Acknowledgement (“Goods Defects Warranty”). 2.
The Customer must provide BLH Safety Solutions™ with a Receipt of Goods Acknowledgement within five (5) workings days of receipt of Goods at the Delivery Address, to receive the benefit of the Goods Defects Warranty.
Exclusions 3. The Goods Defect Warranty does not apply where the Customer has not provided BLH Safety Solutions™ with the Receipt of Goods Acknowledgement within the time specified in clause 2. 4. The Goods Defects Warranty does not cover: (a) Goods requiring replacement or repair due to normal wear and tear; (b) Damage or loss of Goods due to improper storage conditions; (c) Damage or loss of Goods due to improper installation of the Goods, not in accordance with the BLH Installation Guide; (d) Damage or loss of Goods where the installation of the Goods is undertaken by persons who have not been trained to install the Goods by BLH Safety Solutions™ or a trainer accredited by BLH Safety Solutions™; (e) Damage or loss of Goods required due to the Goods not being maintained or serviced in accordance with BLH Installation Guide and/or instructions issued by BLH Safety Solutions™; or (f ) Damage or loss of Goods due to accidents or accidental damage, misuse, unauthorised modifications, fire, storms, cyclones and other natural disasters, malicious damage, damage by burglars or un-invited persons to the premises, persons feloniously concealed on the premises, consequential losses, terrorism, war, explosion, riots or civil commotions, vandalism, impact by vehicles, persons, animals, falling trees or branches, impact by falling air craft, space craft & satellites or parts dropped from them. 5. If during the Goods Defects Warranty period, the Customer detects any defective Goods covered by the Goods Defects Warranty and the Customer makes a warranty claim by completing and sending to BLH Safety Solutions™ Warranty Claim Request Form (which is accepted): (a) BLH Safety Solutions™ shall at its sole option and costs either repair the defective Goods or components thereof using new or refurbished parts or replace the defective Goods; and (b) The Customer shall pay freight and insurance costs associated with returning the defective Goods to BLH Safety Solutions™ and/or transporting the repaired, replacement or new Goods to the Customer unless otherwise agreed in writing by the parties.

6.
Goods Defects Warranty claims accepted by BLH Safety Solutions™ will be processed and actioned in accordance with BLH Safety Solutions™ normal work flow and subject to the availability of replacement Goods, components or parts. Delivery times for these replacement items will be notified in writing to the Customer once the Goods Defects Warranty claims have been assessed and accepted by BLH Safety Solutions™.
Installation Services Warranty 7. Subject to clause 8 where BLH Safety Solutions™ has supplied Installations Services in respect of the Goods, BLH Safety Solutions™ warrants that for a period of twenty-four (24) months after installation of the Goods by BLH Safety Solutions™, the Goods will not require re-installation or installation servicing or adjustments (“Installation Services Warranty”). Exclusions 8.
The Installation Services Warranty does not cover Goods requiring re-installation, installation servicing or adjustments in the case of:

Normal wear and tear to Goods or Goods requiring replacement or repair due to normal wear and tear; Goods not being maintained or serviced in accordance with BLH Installation Guide and/or instructions issued by BLH Safety Solutions™; Damage or loss of Goods due to accidents or accidental damage, misuse, unauthorised modifications, fire, storms, cyclones and other natural disasters, malicious damage, damage by burglars or un-invited persons to the premises, persons feloniously concealed on the premises, consequential losses, terrorism, war, explosion, riots or civil commotions, vandalism, impact by vehicles, persons, animals, falling trees or branches, impact by falling aircraft, space craft & satellites or parts dropped from them.
If during the Installation Services Warranty period, the Customer makes a warranty claim by completing and sending to BLH Safety Solutions™ Warranty Claim Request Form (which is accepted) BLH Safety Solutions™ shall at its sole option and costs either reinstall the Goods or component parts or provide installation servicing or adjustments in respect of the Goods or component parts.
10. The benefits under the abovementioned warranties are in addition to any other rights and remedies under law in relation to the Goods and/or Services, which cannot be lawfully excluded.
Consumer is defined in Section 3, Schedule 2 of the Australian Competition and Consumer Act 2010.

Australia
For the supply of Goods and Services in Australia to Customers whom are consumers in accordance with Section 3, Schedule 2 of the Australian Competition and Consumer Act 2010.
Our goods (BLH Safety Solutions™) come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You (the Customer) are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonable foreseeable loss or damage. You (the Customer) are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and failure does not amount to a major failure.
Making Warranty Claims 12. Warranty Claim Request Forms can be downloaded from the BLH Safety Solutions™ web site located at http://blhsafetysolutions.com/ or obtained by sending an email to
[email protected]. 13.

The Customer shall pay all the costs associated with making a warranty claim including staff costs and postage costs in completing and sending the Warranty Claim Request Form and any supporting documentation to BLH Safety Solutions™ and responding to any requests made by BLH Safety Solutions™.
15.
BLH Safety Solutions™ will process the warranty claims received by the Customer and notify the Customer in writing as to whether it accepts or rejects the claims.
16.
Any disputes between the parties in respect of warranty claims shall be referred to dispute resolution as provided in the BLH Safety Solutions™ Standard Terms and Conditions for the supply of the BLH Stop Drop™ Barricading and Guarding System and/or the Contract with the Customer.

IMPORTANT NOTES: • BLH Barrier Guarding System, BLH Components and BLH SDB to only be installed on the personnel access side of handrail or structure: i.e. to inside edge of Handrails/Guardrails etc. • It is the responsibility of the client to ensure all regulatory requirements; risk assessments and structural integrity analysis are carried out prior to installation of the Stop Drop™ Barricading System. • It is also the responsibility of the client to ensure all regulatory requirements, risk assessments and permits are completed prior to removal and or rectification of the Stop Drop™ Barricading System. • Stop Drop™ Barricading System is not designed or constructed to be walked on and not to be used as a walking platform. Always ensure appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is worn at all times during installation and removal. • Tool lanyards must be used when working at heights to eliminate dropped objects during installation. All tools must have lanyards attached prior to commencing the work at height. STORAGE: BLH STOP DROP SAFETY BARRICADING components need to be stored in a dry shaded area off the ground and away from any chemicals or solvent based products. Wind will affect loose pieces resulting in flying objects. Precautions should be taken to prevent this. PRODUCT USE: This product is designed to restrict dropped objects, not as fall prevention barricade for personnel. BLH STOP DROP SAFETY BARRICADING should only be used as per this Installation Guide. It is not to be used for coverage of pits/holes or any other usage not covered in this Guide. Please note: BLH systems can only be installed using BLH OEM components/accessories. Cutting Instructions.
Mesh Panel Cutting: • Straight cut
Mark Mesh Panels at the required size and angle, use a sliding bevel and ruler as a guide.
Cut Mesh Panels using side cutters or a similar tool.
• Angle cut
It is preferred to cut the Mesh Panel as close to the intersection of the adjacent square as possible.
Ensure all cut edges are smooth and free from burrs.

Cutting Instructions. Top Capping Rail Cutting:
Mark Top Capping Rail at the required size and angle, using a mitre box or a sliding bevel as a guide. Cut the Top Capping Rail using a Tenon Saw or a similar tool. It is preferred to cut the Top Capping Rail away from any holes if possible. Ensure all cut edges are smooth and free from burrs.

Vertical Joiner Assembly Cutting:
The Vertical Joiner Assembly requires cutting for useage in stairway applications. Align the cut location using the cutting guides on the Vertical Joiner Assembly, use a mitre box or a sliding bevel to ensure a square cut. Ensure all cut edges are smooth and free from burrs.

Step 1. Measure area to determine Lineal Metre requirements.
Count number of Stanchions (uprights), corners and measure the Stairway length. Measure all pipe sizes and configurations to select the appropriate Assembly Units to be used. Allow an additional 5% Standard Lineal Metreage to accomodate any variation within the structure. Step 3: Visual inspection before installation and re-usage.
Inspect all components for damage before commencing installation. Damaged Locking Tabs due to in-correct previous installation.
Cracked or deformed components should not be used for installation. Cracked Clip due to previous installation on the wrong pipe size.

Step 6: Install Selected Assemblies.
Following markings on the Handrailing, firmly push on 6 attachment assemblies evenly spaced per Lineal Metre (LM). Note: 4 attachment assemblies per Lineal Metre (LM) MUST be installed as a minimum.

Step 7: Install Mesh Panel. Position the Mesh Panel length ways, ensuring a minimum of 80mm between Top Handrail and top of Mesh Panel and overlapping the inside of the Kick Rail.

Securely fasten Mesh Clip Buttons by applying forward pressure (1.) and rotating (2.) by a quarter of a turn in either direction.

Step 9: Mesh Panel Vertical Joiner angle adjustment. Vertical Joiner Assembly is supplied as standard 180 degree configuration.
The Vertical Joiner Assembly angle may be adjusted to suit requirements by removing the Pins, selecting the angle and re-inserting the Pins. Vertical Joiner Assembly 135 Degree configuration
Once Joiner Pins are installed insert 3 x Securing Barbed Pin. Ensure pins are fully seated.

Slide Vertical Joiner Assembly onto Mesh Panel 1 x square from top of Mesh Panel.

Ensure the Vertical Joiner Assembly is fully seated against the Mesh Panel.
Ensure the Vertical Joiner Assembly is installed flush with the bottom of the Mesh Panel.

If Adjustable Joiner Assemblies are selected to join the Mesh Panels: • install 1 x assembly at 1x Mesh Panel square from the top of the Mesh Panel. • install 1 x assembly flush with the bottom of the Mesh Panel. • install 1 x assembly evenly spaced between top and bottom assemblies.
First insert the Mesh Panel into the Adjustable Joiner Assembly. Rotate the Locking Tabs into the locked position.
