-
Do not use the Monitor immediately after bathing
-
Remove watch, bracelets or other ornaments from the wrist being measured
-
Always try to measure on the same wrist
-
Ensure a reading is taken at the same time daily as blood pressure can vary throughout the day
-
Ensure you are in a relaxed and comfortable position whilst taking a reading, and refrain from any movement during measurement
-
Place the wrist at the same height as the heart or an inaccurate reading will be obtained
-
Ensure the cuff is wrapped firmly around the wrist
-
Keep at least a 1 minute gap between readings

Fitting the Cuff 1. Roll up your sleeve to expose the arm – make sure the sleeve is not rolled up too tight as this may constrict the blood flow
2. Wrap the cuff directly against the skin, hold the bottom part and wrap it comfortably and securely around the wrist
Body Posture during Measurement Sit comfortably in a chair with your back straight up and feet flat on the floor. Don’t cross your legs. Ensure your wrist is held out at the same level as your heart. Please note: If you are unable to take a measure on the left wrist, you can use the right wrist. However, all measurements thereafter should be made on the same wrist.

The drop in pressure will also be displayed on the screen. In case the cuff pressure is insufficient, the device will automatically re-inflate to a higher pressure. When the monitor detects a pulse, the heart symbol on the screen will start to flash. Once the reading has completed, the systolic, diastolic and pulse rate will appear on the screen. The reading will be remain on the screen until the device is turned off. The monitor automatically switches off if unused for 3 minutes. If an irregular heartbeat is detected during the measurement. The symbol will appear on the screen.

About Blood Pressure Blood pressure is the force exerted by blood against the walls of the arteries. Systolic pressure occurs when the heart contract. Diastolic pressure occurs when the heart expands.
Blood pressure readings are commonly give as two numbers: 120 over 80 (written as 120/80). In this case, 120 would be the systolic blood pressure - representing the maximum pressure exerted as the heart contracts. 80 would be the diastolic pressure - the measurement taken between beats, when the heart is at rest.
Hypertension Hypertension is abnormally high blood pressure. If untreated, can cause serious health problems including a stroke or heart attack. Hypertension can be controlled by maintaining a healthy lifestyle, avoiding stress and with medication (prescribed by a doctor). In order to prevent or control hypertension: -
Do not smoke
-
Reduce salt and fat intake
-
Maintain a healthy weight
-
Exercise regularly
-
Attend regular medical check-ups

WHO Blood Pressure Classification Standards for assessment of high blood pressure without regard to age has been established by the World Health Organisation.
Blood Pressure Type

Measuring Blood Pressure at Home Measuring blood pressure at home reduces the effects of outside influences on the blood pressure reading. When measured at a clinic or at the doctors, the apprehension may cause the reading to be 25 to 30 mmHg higher than when measured at home.
Maintenance -
Keep the monitor in the storage case when not in use
-
Clean the monitor with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use any abrasive or volatile cleaning substances.
-
Never immerse the monitor or any component in water

Frequently Asked Questions 1. The screen doesn’t seem to display anything, even when turned on. What am I doing wrong? The batteries may have drained, please replace with new ones. If the batteries have already been replaced, ensure they have been inserted in the correct position 2. Why does the cuff not inflate? The battery voltage may be too low. Please replace the batteries. 3. The monitor will not measure correctly. The readings are too high or too low, what should I do? To ensure the readings are correct – make sure the cuff is fastened firmly around the wrist. Do not move whilst the monitor is measuring. Also, raise your hand to the same level as your heart. 4. Why is the reading different from that measured at a clinic or doctors? See page 5. Why is the reading taken on a wrist monitor different to the reading taken on an arm monitor? Blood pressure measured on the wrist may differ from measurement taken on the upper arm. This is due to the difference in width of the blood vessels in the wrist and arm. The average difference for a healthy adult is around 10mmHg. 6. How many users can you add on the Apple/Android Application? There is no limit to how many users you can have on the Apple/Android Application
