Bluetooth expertise from Cambridge Consultants
Our Bluetooth® Pedigree Extensive set of profiles and protocols supported by Cambridge Consultants’ Bluetooth software Our software provides the widest range of profiles and portability. We have been actively developing Bluetooth software and products for over a decade. We offer a proven Bluetooth protocol stack (BlueStack®) and a profile library (Interface Express®) to enable the implementation of Bluetooth applications. We can also offer Bluetooth technical support services to help you develop high-quality Bluetooth products with highly competitive costs. The qualified profiles and underlying protocols supported by our software are: Ref A2DP AVRCP

Comments The transport mechanism to exchange messages for controlling A/V devices Defines the mechanism for A/V stream negotiation, establishment and transmission procedures Used to transport common networking protocols over the Bluetooth media such as IPv4 and IPv6 Transfer protocol that defines data objects and a communication protocol two devices can use to exchange those objects The call control signaling for the establishment of speech and data calls between Bluetooth devices Emulates the serial cable line settings and status of an RS-232 serial port and is used for providing serial data transfer
Embedded Bluetooth applications for CSR’s BlueCore We have a unique relationship with CSR that enables us to produce binary images for CSR’s BlueCore™ family of devices. Through this, we can develop applications targeted natively at the XAP2 RISC processor embedded within all of CSR’s BlueCore™ devices. This removes the need for a host processor, so reducing the cost of products developed in this way. In fact, XAP is our own family of processor cores. We can extend this capability to our customers who licence our “xIDE for Interface Express™” toolkit. The embedded applications produced using this approach are performance optimised.
Our Bluetooth experience We have developed a wide range of Bluetooth® applications, including: A Medical device platform called VENA, which is continua compliant An Internet enabled device platform called CatchNet A low-cost Cordless Telephony (CTP) Access Point reference design A Bluetooth® meter-reading interface A Bluetooth®-accessible memory stick, making use of BIP to transfer images from cameras etc. to the memory stick that can be read via the USB interface by most PCs. A low-cost Bluetooth® hands free kit, where combined Hands-Free and Sync profiles exist on the BlueCore™ allowing the car kit to read the phonebook and provide audio service A Bluetooth® intercom system A general purpose configurable Bluetooth® network node (the SP/AT™ device). This enables, via the serial port and an extended AT command set, the establishment of sophisticated functions, such as establishing audio connections between SP/ATs™ etc. A Bluetooth® Media gateway The scope of applications that can be supported by Bluetooth® is very wide. Our team working on Bluetooth® projects has expertise in the specifics of each application area. Once we understand what you wish to achieve, then we can call upon their expertise to support you. Whether it is to reduce the cost of an existing solution, add Bluetooth to an existing product, or to implement a new or unusual application, Cambridge Consultants is the best choice for achieving your goals.
