Booster Brawl Rules In a Booster Brawl game, you and your opponent will play Kaijudo using a single shared deck and discard pile. In addition, Booster Brawl includes a special area of face-up cards called the Veil, from which you’ll get an extra card to add to your hand on each of your turns.
You will need: 2 players
8 booster packs total to create the shared deck A Booster Brawl game follows the regular Kaijudo trading card game rules, with these exceptions:
SETUP
Prepare for a Booster Brawl game as follows:
1 To create the shared deck, open all the booster packs, remove the code cards, and shuffle the remaining cards together with the 3 premium cards.

2 Prepare the playmat and boxes as shown. Put the deck on the taller box. The shorter box is for the discard pile. 3 Each player puts 5 cards from the top of the deck face down into his or her shield zone. Note that in a Booster Brawl game, you don’t start the game with a hand of cards. 4 Put the top 5 cards of the deck face up into the Veil. 5 Decide who will play first. In a Booster Brawl game, the first player doesn’t skip his or her first draw.
HOW TO USE The Veil
Additional Rules
If a spell or ability refers to your deck or discard pile, or to your opponent’s deck or discard pile, use the shared one.
During each player’s turn, before that player draws his or her regular card from the deck for the turn, that player chooses one card from the Veil and puts it into his or her hand.
If a spell or ability tells you to draw a card, you always draw from the top of the deck. You get cards from the Veil only as described to the left in “How to Use the Veil.”
Whenever a player picks the last card from the Veil, that player refills the Veil with the top 5 cards of the deck after he or she draws from the deck for the turn.
If the deck runs out of cards, shuffle the discard pile and restock the deck. Neither player loses, and the game continues.
Try Your Own!
If you enjoyed Booster Brawl, you can do it again with any 8 Kaijudo booster packs. Have fun coming up with your own combinations of packs!

DRaft SETUP
Prepare for a flip draft as follows:

C Finalize Your Deck and Play
DRaft
To draft cards for your decks, you and your opponent will repeat the following steps until the stack is empty:
1 T he first drafter picks 2 cards from the face-up cards. 2 T he second drafter picks 2 of the remaining cards.
1 Shuffle all the booster packs together. (Don’t forget to remove the code cards and add in the 3 premium cards.)
3 The first drafter gets the last face-up card.
2 Put the shuffled stack of cards face down on the table.
4 The second drafter flips 5 new face-up cards from the stack and becomes the new first drafter.
3 Flip the top 5 cards face up in a row next to the stack.
Once you’ve finished drafting cards, you may further customize your deck by removing some cards from it that you don’t want to play with. After removing cards, your deck must include at least 30 cards.
Note: When choosing your own packs, if the last group of cards that you flip up from the stack is less than 5 cards, alternate picking 1 card at a time from that group, instead of the usual 2-2-1.
When your decks are ready, use them just like regular Kaijudo® decks and play as many games as you want using the standard Kaijudo trading card game rules.
DRaft Example
First Draft
Ryan and Sarah are drafting and Ryan won the coin flip.
1
Ryan picks 2, Sarah picks 2, and then Ryan gets the last card.
2 Ryan
This pattern continues until the stack is empty.
1
Sarah
Sarah flips up a new group of 5 cards and picks 2, Ryan picks 2, and then Sarah gets the last card.
Second Draft Sarah
4 Decide who will draft first.
Keep the cards that you drafted in front of you in a face-down pile.
Try Your Own!
If you enjoyed flip draft, you can do it again with any 8 Kaijudo booster packs. Have fun coming up with your own combinations of packs!

FLIP-DraFT Rules
If you enjoyed the Booster Brawl format but want to build your own deck, the flip-draft format is for you! In flip draft, you and your opponent draft cards, build your own decks with those cards, and then play a regular game of Kaijudo.
