Brief introduction Installation LED indicator MM to SM Fiber Converter is used to convert multi-mode fiber signal to single mode equivalent that extends the long span fiber connections easily and inexpensively. Gigabit Ethernet supports long wave 10/100/1000 Base-LX/1000Base-LX and short wave 10/100/1000 Base-SX/1000Base-SX fiber network. This media converter can be installed as a standalone unit or as a slide-in module to the 19" converter rack (up to 10 units) for use at a central wiring closet. Purchasing guide for Gigabit optical transceivers Model 1 Specifications 10/100/1000M Multi-mode to Single-mode(850nm/1310nm 20KM) Packing list Please check the following items in the package before the installation of transceiver. Gigabit optical transceiver AC/DC adapter (outside) User manual 1. Fiber interface LC fiber interface is of duplex mode type, including two interfaces, namely TX and RX. When the two sets of optical transceiver are interfaced or connected to switchboard with fiber interface, the fiber is in cross connection, namely "TX-RX" "RX-TX". Status P1 P2 PWR On Lit when SFP1 connection is good. Blinks when SFP1 data is transmitting. On Lit when SFP2 connection is good. Blinks when SFP2 data is transmitting. On Lit when +5V power is coming up. Technical parameters: 2. Connection The network device (work station, hub or switch) with The multi-mode (single mode) fiber is connected to LC fiber interface of optical transceiver. Then switch on. The corresponding LED is on for correct connection. (See the table below for the LED indicator) Explanation for LED indicator 1 pc 1pc 1pc Please contact the dealer immediately for any loss or damage to the above items. Explanation LED indicator indicates the working status of the transceiver for device monitoring and trouble display. The following is the explanation for each LED indicator. 1. Standard Protocol: IEEE802.3 IEEE802.3u IEEE802.3x IEEE802.3Z/AB 100Base-T/SX/LX 1000Base-T/SX/LX 2. Transfer rate: Electrical interface: 100Mbps 1000Mbps Fiber interface: 1.25Gbps 3 Interface: Two LC interface 4. Operation mode: full duplex mode or half duplex mode 5. Power supply parameter: outside: 5V DC 1A 6. Environmental temperature: 0℃-60 ℃ 7. Relative humidity: 5%-90% 8. Transfer fiber: multi-mode: 50/125, 62.5/125μm 9. single mode: 8.3/125,8.7/125,9/125 or 10/125μm 10. Dimensions: External power supply 95mm(W)×70mm(D)×26mm(H) Cautions: 1. This production is suitable for indoor application. 2. Put on the dust cover of fiber interface when not used. 3. It is forbidden to stare at the TX fiber-transfer end with naked eyes. Trouble shooting: 1. Rate is not matched. The transfer rate of both ends of the optical transceiver must be the identical when connected to other network devices (network card, hub, switch), namely 100M-100M, 1000M-1000M 2. Line loss is excessive during the fiber wiring Excessive loss in adaptor connector plug-in and fiber soldering welding, and excessive intermediate nodes may cause excessive loss rate or abnormal operation.
