FORMATS & CAPACITY: Black box space with a sprung wooden floor. Can be used as either seated or standing venue and is provided with retractable bleacher seating. Upstage crossover can be made with tabs but will reduce stage depth.
TRUSS: Ground supported Opti Trilite truss over performance area. Please contact Production for more information.
Typical configurations shown below but we can offer variations within these:
WEIGHT LOADING: Dealt with on a one to one basis with Production Manager, please contact the Production office directly to discuss your needs.
Capacity Dependant on the type of event the saleable capacity is flexible. As a guide the approx Max CAPS are – STANDING: Up to 330
Format Bleacher seating, with flat floor or small stage
Recommended Dance, Theatre, Music.
Bleacher plus up to 3 extra rows of chairs (will affect stage size options due to sightlines and fire exits)
Theatre, Dance, Comedy, Conference.
Standing with large stage or Flat Floor
SEATED: Up to 230 Cabaret style tables with flat floor or small stage
Theatre, Live Music, Conference, Drinks Receptions Book reading, Comedy & Q&A
ACCESS: The Studio Theatre is on the first floor level. Access is via either: standard double doors at Stage Door on New Road and up one flight of stairs OR via a lift at ground floor level (80cm x 140cm 400KG SWL)
SUSPENSION POINTS: Currently un-accessible
CLEARANCE: From stage to underside of truss : 3.77m and from flat floor to underside of truss : 4.57m DRESSING ROOMS: 3x Dressing Rooms at basement level and 1x Dressing room off stage right with w/c. Basement showers and toilet facilities available. Access to basement via stairs or lift. SOUND: D&B C7 PA system as standard. MICS: Variety of professional microphones available. Please see the Technical Equipment Summary Sheet. MIXING CONSOLE: Yamaha O1V or Yamaha M7 CL48. Yamaha LS9 available upon request. Please see the Technical Equipment Summary Sheet for alternatives. MIXER POSITIONS: Standard operating position from control box (without glass window) at the top of the bleachers In flat floor format: Either of control box or flat floor. LX: Overhead, fixed rig with ETC ion console– see Lighting Plan
VENTILATION: Air handling unit & radiators. AV: Please see the Technical Equipment Summary Sheet. STAGING: Flexible stage size constructed from steel decking. Please discuss with the Production department if a stage is required.
POWER: 32 amp single phase located stage left. 63 amp 3-phase located FOH.
TABS & MASKING: No front of house tabs but a stock of hard and soft masking is available.
Please note that approx 20m of cable is required to reach the stage
PARKING: Limited onsite parking available, loading bays can be suspended on request, nearby NCP parking also available.
