Application
RF input
Gain
0V
Connect the R/TV signal, which is fed to the distribution board, to the module’s F-connector (“RF input”). The amplifier can be treated as a final output. The male F-connector is not supplied.
Installation
Figure 2: The top of the aerial
On the top of the module is a connection for an external power supply (12 V DC) and for . the R/TV signal via an F-connector (see figure 2).

The R/TV module is used exclusively in the LexCom Home. The module is an CATV and aerial amplifier, designed for both radio and TV signals via cable. These signals are splitted into four identical ports. Construction
The unit is constructed with a fully screened DIN casing. The R/TV module is fitted to the middle DIN rail, to the right or left, due to heat generation. As shown in figure 1, the front of the module is provided with four screened RJ45 connectors (ports) a diode to indicate power connection and a potentiometer to regulate amplification (gain).
Connect the power, using the LexCom Home power supply. A plug is attached to the power supply’s connection leads on the 12 V side, adapted to the R/TV module’s connection. The plug is coded so that connection with incorrect (reversed) polarity is prevented.
Adjusting the amplification
Amplification is adjusted via the potentiometer labelled “gain”. Amplification is increased by turning the key clockwise.
Amplification is variable in the 20 dB to 32 dB range at 860 MHz.
There is no facility to adjust for tilt (equaliser), as this is a parameter that is adapted for the cable’s attenuation properties in the amplifier.
If there is a need to correct this due to a large tilt in the incoming signal, this is done in a variable connection filter before connection to the R/TV module. This component is not included in the LexCom Home system. Note!
It is a prerequisite that special LexCom Home connection cables are used at the wall outlet when radio or TV are connected to the R/TV signal. This is because there is an integrated balun, which converts 100-Ohm Twisted Pair cabling to 75-Ohm coaxial, which is standard for radios and TVs.
The amplifier contains no return path or channel for control signals or data in general.
The CE label on the side of the module acts as a seal. If this seal is broken the guarantee is not valid.
