OFF MODE: If wireless phone use is prohibited or when it may cause interference or danger, switch your BT Mirror Kit over to OFF mode. Also remember to switch your mobile phone OFF if necessary. ROAD SAFETY COMES FIRST: Obey all local laws. Always keep your hands free to operate the vehicle while driving. Your first consideration while driving should be road safety. SECURE MOBILE PHONES: If you are using a mobile phone with your BT Mirror Kit, secure the phone in the vehicle (for example, in a holder). OFF MODE WHEN REFUELLING: Switch your BT Mirror Kit over to OFF mode at a refuelling point. Do not use near fuel or chemicals. Also remember to switch your mobile phone OFF if necessary. INTERFERENCE: All wireless devices may be susceptible to interference, which could affect performance. CONNECTING TO OTHER DEVICES: When connecting to any other device, read its user guide for detailed safety instructions. Do not connect incompatible products.

The BT Mirror Kit is a Bluetooth Hands-Free adapter for cars. It clips on any vehicles rear-view mirror and gives unrivalled freedom on the move. The carkit has optimised DSP sound technology for improved call quality and supports voice dialing (if supported by your handset). BT Mirror Kit is compliant with the Bluetooth v1.2 specifications and compatible with mobile handsets that support Bluetooth Headsets or Handsfree Profiles.

Getting Started Your BT Mirror Kit (The device) has the following keys and functionalities as shown in fig. 1: - POWER SWITCH: turn ON / OFF the device to save battery power when not used for a prolonged time. - MULTI FUNCTION KEY: press this key to (i) Answer a Call, (ii) End a Call, (iii) Voice Dial, (iv) Redial Last Number, (v) Reject a Call, (vi) Call Waiting, (vii) Bluetooth reconnect. - SPEAKER MODE SWITCH: switch the sound mode from (a) Device Internal Speaker, (b) Car Speakers (FM Tuner). - RECORDING FUNCTION KEY: press this key to start and stop recording a VOICE message. - PLAYBACK FUNCTION KEY: press this key to listen the recorded messages. - VOLUME CONTROL: it controls the volume of both the Internal Speaker and the Earpiece (only when in use).

Getting Started... (continue): - EARPIECE: to ensure privacy during a call. Once in use the Internal Speaker and Car Speaker will mute. - EARPIECE ON /OFF SWITCH: switch the earpiece ON to be used for private conversation and OFF for power saving. - MICROPHONE: internal Full duplex system Microphone. DSP Technology, Noise and Echo suppression system. - FM FREQUENCY SELECTION KEY: select between 4 preset FM Frequencies (FM88.1 - FM88.5 - FM88.7 - FM89.4) to tune in your Car Stereo and listen to your call. - CALLER ID DISPLAY: support up to 12 digits. Display both incoming calls and Device Status Messages.
- STATUS LEDS: indicate the Device's status on calls, Recorded messages, Battery and Charging status. - USB PORT: for firmware upgrade only! 3
CHARGING THE DEVICE: Your VT-88 Bluetooth Mirror Kit is powered with a fully re-chargeable and replaceable Li-Ion battery. Note that a new battery's full performance is achieved only after two or three complete charge and discharge cycles. 1. Connect the provided charger into the cigarette lighter port on the dashboard of your car. 2. Connect the lead from the charger to the socket on the bottom of your device. - Red LED will indicate that the device is charging. - Yellow LED will indicate that battery is full. - "LO" appears on the Caller ID Display when battery need to be recharged. The battery can be charged and discharged a hundreds of times but it will eventually wear out. When the operating time (talk time and standby time) 4 is noticeably shorter than normal, it is time to buy a new battery.
INSTALLATION: Your BT Mirror Kit simply clip securely onto your existing rear-view mirror. Just follow these simple steps: 1 1. Identify two pairs of clips on the back CLIPS of the device.
2. Place the bottom pair of clips on the underside of the car’s original rear view mirror and lift.

3. Extend the bottom clips and fix the top one in position on top of the car’s original rear view mirror, and held securely until the unit is in place.
Adjust now the fitted unit for a clear rear-view vision.
TURNING YOUR BT MIRROR KIT ON AND OFF: Switch-on the Power Switch. The device will light up all digits of the ID Caller Display. A start-up tone will confirm the operation. A blue LED will light-up. FM

PAIRING YOUR BT MIRROR KIT: Prior to use your Device for the first time you must pair it with a Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone. The information on the next page describes pairing instructions for a typical Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone. BT Mirror Kit pairing procedure is subject to different models of mobile phones. Please refer to the user manual 6 of your mobile phone for specific details on Bluetooth connectivity.
PAIRING YOUR BT MIRROR KIT STEP BY STEP:

1. Turn ON the device and make sure it's on "Stand-By Mode".
Blue LED blinking every 5 seconds.
2. Activate your mobile phone Bluetooth function.
Refer to the mobile phone's User Guide for details.
3. Set the mobile phone to search for Bluetooth devices.
A list of enabled devices in range will show.
4. Select "Vitebo" from the list on the mobile phone.
Pair the device.
5. Enter the Passcode "0000" to confirm the pairing process.
Caller ID Display shows [PAIRED]
6. Pairing is now complete.

Connection tips: If your device or cell phone battery charge is low, the wireless connection may occasionally be lost. To maintain good connectivity ensure that both your device and phone battery have sufficient autonomy of charge.
USING YOUR BT MIRROR KIT: Once paired the device with your mobile phone, you are ready to receive or make calls. The Blue LED is ON and the ID Caller displays [CAR] every 1 minute. Answering a call: When there is an Incoming Call you will hear your mobile phone Ring Tone through the VT-88 Speaker. The ID Caller display shows either the number of the calling person or [CALL]. To ANSWER a call just press once the Multi Function Key without holding it or accept the call via your mobile phone in the normal way. Ending a call: To END a call just press once the Multi Function Key without holding it or END the call via your mobile phone in the normal way. NOTE: even after pairing with the device, some mobile phones do not connect until a call is made or received. In this case, although you can still use the device, the Blue LED will blink and ID Caller Display may not show the calling number.

USING YOUR BT MIRROR KIT: Rejecting a call: To reject an incoming call press twice the Multi Function Key. The Blue LED is ON or blinking and the ID Caller Display will show [REJECT]. Voice Dialing from your BT Mirror Kit: (ONLY APPLICABLE TO MOBILE PHONE EQUIPPED WITH VOICE DIAL FUNCTION)
To make a call using Voice Dialing function shortly press the Multi Function Key. The ID Caller Display shows [VOICEDIAL]. Say the Voice Tag clearly and the call will be made.

Call Waiting from your BT Mirror Kit: When a call is active and a second call comes through, a call alert can be heard (usually just few beeps). Press and Hold the Multi Function Key for few seconds. The ID Caller Display shows the second caller ID. The first call is on hold and you can talk to the second caller. To switch between the 2 calls Press and Hold the Multi Function Key for few seconds again. To terminate one of the two calls, select the caller and Press the Multi Function Key once only.
USING YOUR BT MIRROR KIT: Last Number Redialing from your BT Mirror Kit: To Redial the last dialed number press twice quickly the Multi Function Key. The ID Caller Display shows [REDIAL]. Selecting between your BT Mirror Kit Internal Speaker or Car Speaker: In addition to the internal Sound Speaker, your BT Mirror Kit can let you benefit from your Car Stereo Radio Receiver and Car Speaker System to listen to your Phone Calls. (fig. 2) Use the Speaker Mode Switch to select between the Internal Speaker (left position) or the Car Speaker mode. Car Speaker mode can tune into 4 preset FM frequencies, FM88.1, FM88.5, FM88.7, FM 89.4. For best performance, select one of the preset channels that is not occupied by a strong local FM radio station. FM FREQUENCY SELECTION KEY

USING YOUR BT MIRROR KIT: Earpiece Conversation: To begin a conversation with the Earpiece, simply take it from the unit, turn it ON and wear it. The ID Caller Display shows [EAR]. To switch conversation between Earpiece to Car Speaker or Internal Speaker Mode just repose the Earpiece into the unit. The ID Caller Display shows [CAR].

Note: The earpiece transmittance frequency is FM110.25MHz, outside the FM Radio range so to avoid any interference with local radio station broadcasts.
USING YOUR BT MIRROR KIT: Adjusting the Volume of your BT Mirror Kit: Use the Volume Control knob to adjust the desired Volume for both the Internal Speaker and the Earpiece. It is NOT recommended to set maximum Volume when using the Earpiece. Dialing from your Mobile Phone Handset: While using your BT Mirror Kit, you can make and receive calls directly from your handset while communications will be through the device. Switching Calls between your BT Mirror Kit and the Mobile Phone Handset: To switch a phone call between your Device and the hand set, press and hold for 3 seconds the Multi Function Key. The ID Caller Display shows [TRANSFER] and the Blue LED blinks. To reconnect the handset to your Device, press once the Multi Function Key. The ID Caller Display shows [CONNECTED] and the Blue 12 LED light up.

To START recording press the Recording Function Key once . Both Green LEDs will blink alternatively.

USING YOUR BT MIRROR KIT: Voice Recording and Playback functions: To easy the procedures of taking notes with your hands on the wheels, your BT Mirror Kit has embedded a Voice Recording Function.
To STOP recording press once again the Recording Function Key. The Green LED will be OFF. To PLAY the recorded message, press the Playback Function Key once. One Green LED will blink. Recording time is about 20 seconds. Should you not stop the recording session before recording time is over, one Green LED is OFF while the other light up. 13
Note: After making or answering a call, allow 3 seconds before starting the recording session.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE: Consider turning your BT Mirror Kit OFF for power saving purpose. Do not expose your device to liquid, moisture or humidity as it is not waterproof. Do not use abrasive cleaning solvents to clean the device. Do not expose the device to extremely high or low temperatures. Do not dispose the device, nor its battery pack in a fire as it will result in a explosion. Do not bring the device into contact with sharp objects as this will cause scratches and damage. Do not attempt to disassemble the device as it does not contain serviceable components. If you do not use the BT Mirror Kit for long periods, be sure to store it in a dry place, free from extreme temperatures 14 and dust.
SAFETY INFORMATION: Check local laws regarding use of a mobile phone and Bluetooth car kit while driving. If you use the BT Mirror Kit while driving, ensure your attention and focus remain on the road and you drive in a responsible and safe manner. Never allow children to play with the BT Mirror Kit. Small parts may be a chocking hazard. Observe all signs that require an electrical device or RF Radio product to be switched OFF in designated areas. These could include hospitals, blasting areas and potentially explosive atmospheres. Never mount or store your BT Mirror Kit over any airbag deployment area as serious injury may result when an airbag deploys. Do not open or mutilate the BT Mirror Kit. 15
TROUBLESHOOTING: If you are unable to connect your BT Mirror Kit to the handset please check and try the following: - Ensure the device is switched ON. - Ensure both your device and handset have enough battery power to reach connectivity. - Ensure the device is paired with your mobile phone. (Please refer to your mobile handset User Guide for specific instruction)
- Ensure the device is within a maximum of 10 meters of the mobile phone and there is no obstructions, such as walls or other electronic devices in between. If pairing operations fail: a. Delete the item from the paired list on your handset. b. Reset both the handset and the BT Mirror Kit device by powering them off and back on. c. Pair again the two devices. If a connection is not established after pairing then manually connect from the handset.

TROUBLESHOOTING: Still experiencing problem... Turn off the handset and separate the battery from it for approximately five seconds. Note: In some instances, this action clears up any potential bugs built up in the cell phone software that can hinder proper pairing. Repeat pairing process as outlined earlier in this guide. Note: Please note that it is possible that the BT Mirror Kit buttons might not operate according to the instructions in this user guide if your handset has an unusual wireless interface. In this case, please reset both the BT Mirror Kit and cell phone.

Your BT Mirror Kit is complaint with and adopts the Bluetooth Specification 1.2. However, interoperability between the device and other Bluetooth-enabled products is not guaranteed because it depends on compatibility.
