Phonak Roger Touchscreen Mic & Roger X I Unplug the charger from the Morning Check List Touchscreen Mic Roger Touchscreen Mic & TURN ON. 2 Battery status Use a battery tester to check the condition of the hearing aid battery. Look at the Roger Touchscreen Mic display to see that there is enough power for the time that the system will be used ‒ but of course, you did check & recharge last night! 3 Attach the Roger X receivers and shoes to the hearing aids, turn on and give the user the hearing aids to put on. Hearing aid shoe and Roger X Hold Roger Touchscreen Mic within 10cm of Roger X I The Roger Touchscreen Mic has a battery life of approx 10 hours so we advise charging daily. 2 Check that the Roger Touchscreen Mic unit on charge has scrolling battery bars. If there are no scrolling bars then the unit is not charging ‒ check the connections. 3 As the Roger X receiver takes its power from the hearing aid battery, it is very important that the battery is in good condition. 4 within 10cm of the Roger X receiver. Tap the Roger Touchscreen Mic Connect button. Check that the user has heard the confirmation beeps. Repeat for second receiver. Check that the display says 'Roger X connected'. Can you hear me? The normal life of a hearing aid battery will be more than halved when used with a Roger X. If in doubt, fit a new battery in the hearing aid. Microphones Battery icon Charger cable Aux input Battery indicator light ON/OFF If there is a problem: Battery life indicator ‒ ‒ ‒ ‒ try another shoe (one of the more common problems) check both transmitter and hearing aid battery status again check the microphone isn’t muted (look for flashing red button) remember, you can use a stetoclip and attenuator to check and listen to the hearing aid and radio aid yourself, if appropriate ‒ don’t panic but seek further advice from your specialist education or audiology support service spare shoes and hearing aid batteries etc. Battery indicator light Shoe & Roger X receiver Fine thanks! Put on the Roger Touchscreen Mic, making sure it is about 150mm/length of a biro from your mouth.
