°C Breeze™ Condensed Moisture Airflow Visualization Instrument overview The °C Breeze Fog Instrumentation system is used for the visualization of airflow profiles, using lowimpulse, thermally neutral fog. This handheld device allows mobility in large areas or remote locations where a direct connection to power is not practical. The °C Breeze provides a steady stream of condensed fog, capable of filling 3 m3 [100 ft3] in constant-on mode, before evaporating. The micro-sized fog particles provide excellent air flow visibility without premature settling or dispersion. The supplied nozzle extension tube allows precise fog delivery into small spaces. This easy-to-operate unit produces fog quickly with virtually no warm-up delay. Fog may be generated continuously for 10 minutes on a single battery charge, or, using the optional 110/230V AC wall power supply, fog can be generated continuously for a period of up to one hour. The °C Breeze uses a high quality, FDA Generally Recognized As Safe “GRAS”, approved chemistry for a clean, safe, non-toxic fluid. Applications include microbiological safety cabinet and chemical fume hood certification, critical containment verification for medical and clean technology, building ventilation testing, electronic system cooling design studies, and generalized flow visualization work. features • Easy-to-use, battery operated, handheld portable fogging device • Neutral density, nontoxic fog, traces airflow profiles • High opacity and long visual latency to meet your application needs • Uses FDA GRAS approved, non-depositing, oilless and smoke-free fog fluid • Useful for overhead or under floor applications • Starts in seconds, no warm-up delay • Switch options include constant-on or toggle on/off fog delivery • Includes battery charger with illuminating LED charge indicator • International power plug adapters available • Wireless, remote control available • Dedicated power supply for continuous (batteryless) operation available Engineered Airflow. There is virtually no odor or oily residue which can be found in other smoke systems. step 1 Remove all contents from the °C Breeze Carrying Case. Check that all plastic padding is removed, especially in the nozzle area. step 2 Charge the battery. Connect charging head to battery, plug in the power adaptor to a ground electrical outlet and a green light will light up. Initial charge will take approximately 8 hours, thereafter 2-3 hours. step 3 step 4 Fill the unit with °C Breeze Fog Fluid. When tank is filled, place caps back on bottle and tank and tighten. Install a charged battery, terminal side first. Align the battery with the electrical contact of the battery on the right hand side of the center line and slide battery all the way in. step 5 step 6 Install the extension tube (this is optional as the unit can be run with or without the extension tube). Make sure the breather holes are at the end closest to the machine. Power on the unit by pressing the button on the handle. The LED will flash green, and after 1 or 2 seconds fog will be produced. The unit requires no warm-up time, so you can be started instantly. Momentary Toggle step 6a step 7 Select one of the two operation modes: Momentary (←)Mode, slide switch on the right hand side of the machine to the left towards the reservoir (only when the fog button is held down). Toggle (→) Mode, slide switch to the right towards the fog outlet (pressing the fog button once fog starts, pressing again to stop fog). Powering down the machine. Press the red button on the handle. Fog will stop flowing out and the green light will turn off. When done, remove the battery for optimal battery life and drain fluid tank to educe the effects of oxidation on internal components and safe storage. Use only Degree Controls °C Breeze fog fluid in this device. © 2013 Degree Controls, Inc. all rights reserved 51300MN000-A00 QS rev. 1-A Engineered Airflow.
