It is easy to manage, configure, and integrate deduplication into existing backup environments. VIRTUALIZATION SUPPORT WITH GRANULAR RECOVERY CA ARCserve Backup provides a complete
backup solution for both VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2008. It allows you to perform image level and file level backups and restores on virtual machines, as well as file level restores from image level backups (Granular Recovery). It allows you to set up a rotation or schedule of a full, image (raw) level backup and daily, file level incremental/differential backups (mixed backups) on virtual machines. DASHBOARD WITH SRM REPORTING CA ARCserve Backup Dashboard with built-in SRM is an out-of-
the-box solution that offers graphical insight into your backup environment, including near-real-time and historical information on the storage hardware and software. It allows you to find the backup job status of recent and historical jobs, the nodes that are taking the longest time to backup, the location of backed up data, whether data is encrypted and ready for disaster recovery, and detailed information such as volume, disk usage, memory, CPU, NIC, SCSI and fiber cards on each of the production servers. MEDIA ASSURE CA ARCserve Backup now has Media Assure technology to validate the backup data
saved on your backup media is readable and writable. It helps you verify whether media is accessible without your identification, as well as report on the usability of the media and data. ORACLE RMAN AND 64-BIT PLATFORM SUPPORT CA ARCserve Backup leverages the Oracle RMANbased backup and recovery mode to simplify backing up Oracle databases. It now supports backup of Oracle databases on both 32-bit and 64-bit platforms, as well as SAP NetWeaver on 64-bit machines. AGENT DEPLOYMENT PACKAGES CA ARCserve Backup Agent Deployment is a wizard-like application that lets you install and upgrade a collection of CA ARCserve Backup agents on multiple remote hosts simultaneously.
