Category 5 Ethernet Cable Category 5 cables (Cat5) is a twisted pair cable for carrying signals. This type of cable is used in structured cabling for computer networks such as Ethernet. It is also used to carry other signals such as telephony and video. The cable is commonly connected using punch down blocks and modular connectors. Most Category 5 cables are unshielded, relying on the twisted pair design and differential for noise rejection. Category 5 has been superseded by the Category 5e (enhanced) specification.

Category 6 Ethernet Cable Category 6 cable, commonly referred to as Cat6, is a cable standard for Gigabit Ethernet and other network physical layers that is backward compatible with the Category 5/5e and Category 3 cable standards. Compared with Cat 5 and Cat 5e, Cat 6 features more stringent specifications for crosstalk and system noise. The cable standard provides performance of up to 250 MHz and is suitable for 10 Base-T, 100 Base-TX (Fast Ethernet), 1000 BASE-T/ 1000 BASE-TX (Gigabit Ethernet) and 10 G BASE-T (10-Gigabit Ethernet).

Control Cable Control cable is a multistoried cable for transmission of information on the state, location, or operating conditions of objects being controlled; it is used where direct access to such objects is difficult or impossible. Control cables occupy an intermediate position between power cables and communications cables. They are widely used to connect electric instruments and apparatus, for secondary switching of remote-control starters and regulators, for protective relaying, and in automation.

Cable connectors Cable connectors are audio and visual connectors used to carry audio and/or video signals. These signals are either digital or analog. Cables and connectors are necessary to unite outputs and inputs, and the quality of the signal varies with each connector. Asia and Europe utilize different electronic standards, so here listed some common audio and visual cable connectors prevalent to cable connector field.
BNC connector The BNC connector (Bayonet Neill–Conselman) is a miniature quick connect/disconnect RF connector used for coaxial cable. It features two bayonet lugs on the female connector; mating is achieved with only a quarter turn of the coupling nut. BNCs are ideally suited for cable termination for miniature-to-subminiature coaxial cable (e.g., RG-58, 59, to RG-179, RG-316). It is used with radio, television, and other radio-frequency electronic equipment, test instruments, video signals, and was once a popular computer network connector. BNC connectors are made to match the characteristic impedance of cable at either 50 ohms or 75 ohms. It is usually applied for frequencies below 3 GHz and voltages below 500 Volts. Similar connectors using the bayonet connection principle exist, and a threaded connector is also available.

F connector The F connector is a coaxial RF connector commonly used for "over the air" terrestrial television, cable television and universally for satellite television and cable modems, usually with RG-6/U cable or, in older installations, with RG-59/U cable. It was invented by Eric E. Winston in the early 1950s while working for Jerrold Electronics on their development of cable television. The F connector has good 75 Ω impedance matches up to 1 GHz and has usable bandwidth up to several GHz. The male connector body is typically crimped, or sometimes screwed, on to the exposed outer braid. The cable industry standard now is to use compression fittings. Female connectors have a 3/8-32 UNEF thread (9.525mm diameter). Most male connectors have a matching threaded connecting ring, though push-on versions are also available. Part No.

RJ Connector and other connector RJ45 is a standard type of connector for network cables. RJ45 connectors are most commonly seen with Ethernet cables and networks. RJ-11 is the standard connector utilized on 2-pair (4-wire) telephone wiring. RJ stands for “Registered Jack”- a physical connector interface most often used for telephone wire terminals. Though the RJ-11 connector has a total of 6 connector positions, typically either only 2 or 4 are actually utilized. RJ-11 connector wiring comes in two standard varieties- untwisted (flat-satin cable) and Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP). Part No.

ATA / SATA Cable ATM Battery Cables CAN open
Cables are used to connect ATA or SATA devices, such as hard drives, to the computer. ATM cables are designed for asynchronous transfer mode (ATM). Cables are used to connect batteries.
1
CAN open is an industrial communication field bus protocol based on CAN bus.
CC-LINK
CC-LINK is a high-speed, industrial communications protocol that enables devices from different manufacturers to communicate.
DVI Cable
Digital visual interface (DVI) cables are used to connect a video source with a video display.
Fiber Channel
Fiber channel is a high-speed, serial data transfer architecture that uses links of twisted-pair, coaxial, or fiber optic cable. Small computer system interface (SCSI) devices can use fiber channel arbitrated loop (FC-AL), the most popular fiber channel typology. Using optical fiber, FC-AL supports full-duplex data transfer rates of 100 Mbps. Eventually, FC-AL is expected to replace SCSI in high-performance storage systems.
Field bus
Field bus is a general digital communications protocol for industrial applications. It is used to link industrial devices such as actuators, sensors, transducers, controllers, and other industrial components.
IEEE 1394 (FireWire)
IEEE 1394 or FireWire is an interface standard adopted by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) for very fast digital data transfers such as streaming video. IEEE 1394 connectors are used to transmit and receive data among FireWire devices. They are designed to replace external high-speed peripheral connections to personal computers, including hard disks, CD-ROMs, DVDs, graphics cards, high-speed scanners, direct video, monitors, etc. Tiny, robust FireWire connectors will also become important parts of home entertainment, communication, and appliance networks. FireWire is a registered trademark of Apple Computer, Inc.
IDE/EIDE Cable

Parallel
Parallel interfaces simultaneously transmit multiple bits of data over separate lines (e.g., eight bits over eight lines). They are usually unidirectional.
RGB
RGB is type of component video output in which red (R), green (G), and blue (B) image components are transmitted as separate signals over three separate wires, allowing for full bandwidth for each component. Different synchronization methods are available for RGB.
SCSI
Small computer systems interface (SCSI) is an intelligent I/O parallel peripheral bus with a standard, device-independent protocol that allows many peripheral devices to be connected to the SCSI port. A single SCSI bus can drive up to eight devices or units, the host adapter or controller, and seven other devices. Each device is assigned a different SCSI ID, ranging from 0 to 7. SCSI formats include SCSI-1, SCSI-2, SCSI-3, Wide SCSI, Fast SCSI, Wide Fast SCSI, Ultra SCSI, Ultra2 SCSI, Ultra3 SCI (Ultra160), Ultra 320 SCSI, and Ultra640 SCSI.
Serial / RS-232/422/485
