On behalf of the organising committee, I am pleased to invite you to the second Nordic Conference in Nursing Research – Methods and Networks for the future, to be held in Stockholm, Sweden, June 15–17, 2016. The first conference took place in Odense, Denmark in June 2014 and was very well evaluated. We continue the conference theme Methods and Networks for the Future which was very successful in 2014. The conference focuses on how to develop and strengthen research methods in nursing research and how to increase research utilisation. The conference will discuss methodology, different research methods and how they are applied in nursing research. Furthermore the conference aims to tackle challenges in building research networks. The organising committee has arranged a comprehensive and varied programme with well renowned international research methodologists and experts as key notes. The programme will be of interest to all nurses engaged in different fields of research and networking. All sessions are in English.
We very much hope that the conference will provide the basis for further organised collaboration between the Nordic countries in nursing research and clinical work regarding nursing care. Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, is often referred to as Beauty on Water or Venice of the North. The city is built on 14 islands around one of Europe’s largest and best-preserved medieval city centres. The island of Djurgården, the world’s first National City Park, is only a short walk from the inner city. We are also proud to announce that the Stockholm City and Stockholm County will host a reception at the famous City Hall for the conference participants (limited places). We are looking forward to seeing you in Stockholm.
Ami Hommel Conference president
