HD/SD MPEG2 encoder I/P frame encoding (Pro); I, B, P Frame (News)
The CamPac2 utilizes leading edge technology to place a high performance camera mounted transmitter in a very rugged package. The CamPac2 Pro/News is a 2, 5.8 or 7 GHz COFDM wireless camera transmitter designed to deliver full broadcast quality video in a small, light weight and rugged aluminum case that fits on the back of a portable video camera. The transmitter mounts to professional cameras using a standard Anton Bauer battery mount or Sony V-Clip. The CamPac2 Pro/News accepts NTSC or PAL composite, component or SDI video. Audio inputs are selectable between standard analog audio, AES/EBU or embedded SDI digital audio.
The system is available in two versions, “Pro” and “News”.The CamPac2 Pro, Model features selectable low-delay I/P frame encoding at 4:2:2 or 4:2:0 profiles. CamPac2 News Model offers normal delay I/B/P frame encoding with 4:2:0 profiles. Both the Pro or News, are available with either single or dual Pedestal operation. Single pedestal operation is Standard in all units and offers field selectable 5, 6, 7 or 8 MHz COFDM modulation bandwidths with data rates from 4 to 27Mbps. The optional dual pedestal version consists of two COFDM modulated signals located side by side with selectable bandwidths of 10, 12, 14, and 16 Mhz, offering data rates from 4 to 54 Mbps. The pedestal is field selectable in the dual pedestal version.

Remote camera control systems available
Optional accessories for the CamPac2 Pro/News include support for remote camera control with the addition of the RPS-BMU camera control kit. For higher RF output power, a separate Amplifier unit, the GoPac, is available. The CamPac2 attaches directly to the side of the GoPac. For more flexible operation, the CamPac can be operated at a distance up to 100 ft by the use of an optional RF coaxial cable. The GoPac includes a Universal power supply that accepts both AC and DC.
For more convenient band selection, the CamPac2 Pro/News camera mount transmitter is composed of two sections: the Base Unit and the RF Power Amplifier Module (PAM). The user can choose to purchase multiple PAM units and change the RF operating band in the field.
