This can be accomplished by using the supplied slide-in lexan covers to cover the grilled openings. See Figure 5. Covers are provided for the right and left side of the container and the door. The panels confine the cooling and heating to the interior of the kennels. When the unit is used without the panels, efficiency is decreased greatly, therefore for maximum cooling and heating use the panels. If the unit is placed within a tent, heating efficiency will be improved. If the unit is placed in a closed tent, cooling efficiency will not be improved as the air conditioner will re-circulate the same air for the system. DANGER: DO NOT COVER AIR COOLING UNIT. Covering air cooling unit can lead to fire or damage to unit. Figure 5: Slide-In Lexan Covers Garrett Container Systems, Inc. www.garrettcontainer.com 2010 P a g e | 13 KENNEL STEPS The CCT/Canine Transport Trailer comes equipped with detachable steps to allow the MWD/Military Working Dog access to the kennel area. The steps are stored underneath the kennel doors and can be accessed by opening the compartment door. Remove the step unit, close the compartment door and latch it closed. Hang the steps on the compartment door ledge for use of MWD ONLY. WARNING: STEPS ARE NOT TO BE USED FOR HANDLER ACCESS TO THE KENNEL AREAS. STEPS ARE TO BE USED BY MWD ONLY.
