Powerful Optical Zoom Coupled with Advanced Imaging Technologies Slim, Stylish Body in Versatile Colors to Reflect Your Unique Personality Canon today introduces IXUS 500 HS digital compact camera, incorporated with a host of advanced technologies and functions to guarantee exceptional image results, including the enhanced HS SYSTEM for improved night shooting performance, enhanced Scene Detection technology with up to 58 modes, Face ID function and the Soft Focus and Smooth Skin creative filters. In addition, IXUS 500 HS is equipped with a 28mm wide-angle 12x optical zoom lens for sharp capture of distant subjects and features a minimal body design in Black, Silver, Blue, Red finishes. Enhanced HS SYSTEM for easy capture of bright images under dim environment IXUS 500 HS features the enhanced HS SYSTEM which integrates the DIGIC 5 digital image processor’s ultra-fast data processing speed and high sensitivity CMOS image sensor’s light-gathering capability, resulting in improved signal-to-noise ratio for excellent night shooting performance. It is especially useful for shooting with high ISO settings at low light situation, as it allows a shorter exposure time thus shaking due to long exposure setting can be largely reduced. Sharp and gorgeous night shots can be captured even with handheld shooting. Featuring DIGIC 5 digital image processor which is 6 times faster than its predecessor in noise reduction, sharp images can be captured even under high sensitivity settings.
