CANOPY ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS Tools Needed: Needed: Supplied: (4) 1/2 -13 Hex Head Bolts (8) 1/2” Flat Washers (4) 1/2” Lock Washers (4) 1/2” Hex Nuts Phillips Screwdriver Socket Set Wrench (2) needed Wire Nuts Step 1 Step 2 Remove bolt and metal angle to release canopy top from skid. Discard angle and save hardware to attach. Step 3 FRONT OF CANOPY The above metal tabs mounted to the front of canopy top can be rotated out to facilitate lifting onto top of pole. Remove and discard the tabs when done and replace bolts. Step 4 ACCESS CANOPY SWITCH Make sure the switch plate is away from drive (in back) when mounting pole. Refer to “outdoor canopy foundation guide”, to secure pole to foundation. *Note: Skip to step 5 for Lighting package *Note: Skip to step 7 for Rotating Canopy package Lift canopy into position above top plate of pole. Secure with (4) 1/2” bolts, washers, lock washers, and nuts. Toll Free Phone: 1-800-782-6222 • Website: www.mainstreetmenus.com P1 C101914-001 11/09 CANOPY ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS Canopy With Lighting Package or Rotating Canopy Package Step 5 Step 6 OFF Lift canopy into position above top plate of pole. Feed conduit and leads down into pole. Secure with (4) 1/2” bolts, washers, lock washers, and nuts. Note: fixture and junction box cover not shown. Step 7 Warning: Be sure power is turned off before proceeding. To wire the on/off switch the access cover must be removed from pole. insert leads into junction box. Secure conduit to junction box with 90 degree connector (Position at top knockout as shown). Connect switch to lamp wire and power wire from conduit. Wire in accordance with national electrical code. After all connections are made reconnect switch plate to pole. Lift canopy into position above top plate of pole. Pull up on helix plate and allow it to rotate far enough away from top plate of pole. Insert bolts into counterbore holes of plate. Secure bolts with flat washers, lock washers and nuts. Rotate canopy top down to mate squarely to pole.
