For more information contact your Dodge representative. 132 C A P I T A L E Q U I P M E N T Hydraulic Scissor Lift Model HET Designed to offer a versatile and stable platform for embalming and/or autopsy, this robust stainless trolley offers a simple, yet effective approach to eliminating lifting within the mortuary, and allowing single person operation. The trolley is used in the normal manner to unload the tray from the cabinet. With the adjustable handle set at a comfortable working height, the tray can be drawn over and locked onto the handle. With the tray captured, and as the trolley is depressed, the tray continues to incline until a suitable gredient is reached, or to allow connection to a drainage facility. The trolley is particularly effective in small or confined facilities, where space is at a premium, avoiding the need for other form of transfer equipment. Model HET with tray inclined Many users have found this trolley to be particularly beneficial for obese cases, where a specially adapted and reinforced unit, used with a wide tray, introduces the principle of a full handling system. Racks can be fitted with stub rollers that allow them only to accept the body storage trays, or full length rollers that allow coffins to be conveniently stored as well. For larger facilities with cold rooms, the racking can be made to measure and a combination of regular, semi-obese and obese racks used in conjunction with storage trays of differing sizes to offer a complete solution to the safe keeping of the deceased. All racking, constructed of stainless steel box section, is easy to maintain and will provide years of trouble free service. For new installations cold rooms and fridges can be constructed with floor drainage to simplify cleaning procedures. 133 Body storage for smaller facilities can be an issue and for such locations, it may be possible to retrofit cooling equipment and utilise one or more mobile body racks to improve the environment in which the deceased is kept prior to the funeral taking place. Body Storage and Preparation Trays Available in differing widths these body trays can be fitted with or without drainage and offer a complete solution to the safe storage and preparation of the deceased. Embalming Sinks These sinks allow for an embalming table or fridge tray with drainage to be parked over the lower sink, where any fluid is directed into the foul sewer. These sinks provide hot and cold water to the embalming tray or table via a flexible hose and mixer tap for washing procedures or for filling the embalming machine or pressure tank. The upper sink provides for washing and cleaning of equipment and even holding the bagged viscera of an autopsied case while arterial injection takes place. They are simple to maintain and help to improve hygiene standards by removing the need to capture table waste in a bucket, prior to disposal and when used in conjunction with tray transfer equipment help to reduce manual handling of the deceased in the funeral home or mortuary. 134 C A P I T A L For smaller facilities where space is at a premium, a single, foul sink is available which hangs from the wall of the embalming room or mortuary and allows for the table to connect. This unit is fitted with a flexible spray hose and mixer tap. Sluices E Q U I P M E N T For fast and efficient disposal of liquid waste generated during the embalming or autopsy procedure. Aspiration jars and buckets are simply emptied into the hopper before depressing the flush handle. The stainless steel hoppers allow for easy and simple cleaning and disinfecting and grates can be supplied to rest jars or buckets on. If the Dodge Waterless aspirator is used, the discharge hose can be placed directly into the sluice hopper for simple hygienic operation during the embalming process. Fixed Top Central Pedestal Table This fixed top tables comes with a variety of options that make them suitable for a range of applications. The fixed top can be manufactured from stainless steel and feature a convex internal contour or a flat surface. Alternatively the table top can be manufactured from a durable resin compound which simulates porcelain. Accepting the 660mm semi obese trays, this unit draws air, fumes and pathogens away from the breathing zone of the operator into a series of special filters. Fumes, pathogens and other contaminants are captured in the filtration system, before clean air is recirculated into the room. The table can either be used with a bucket to capture drainage, or in conjunction with a fixed double or single embalming sink for improved hygiene. Fitted with electronic height adjustments, this unit requires only connection to a 13Amp 240V power supply. Simple to use, height adjustment, on/ off switch and fan speed control located within easy reach of the operator. A filter replacement warning alerts the operator when filter changes are needed. 137 Fitted with four removable full width PVC rollers, transfer of body storage trays is simple and easy.
