CAPO MOUNT HYBRID
- Thank you for your purchase ENJOY YOUR FLIGHT !!
*** The Rg58 cable is what I have supplied from a third party vendor it is included for free while supplies last . I am not responsible for cable issues. I only guarantee my mount and its construction. *** I have given these cables as a free bonus to the early shipments of my mount. *** DO NOT fully extend pole during very windy conditions, keep height to at a minimum during windy situations , the mount has been tested with winds, however flying with pole fully extended during windy conditions is not recommended and at your own risk *** I have provided you a mount, however common sense, and appropriate safety checks are your sole responsibility. ***USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! *** the suction cups need to be well kept and clean and undamaged for proper adhesion to surface. please clean pads with a bit of water and soap upon arrival, and wipe off with clean paper towel*** *** when securing the mount firmly press down on all four corners to be sure the suction has been established. **** *** the surface to attach the suction cups to must be clean and free from debris or suction will be compromised, please use common sense when choosing a mounting surface.*** 1.) Unpack large box (base and rg58 cable), and long box is extension pole and mount for DBS antenna 2. ) grab your DBS Antenna (either version works great!) 3.) in the same way you would snap your antenna onto your remote, attach the antenna to the top of the pole
5.) now that your antenna is firmly installed and secured remove the RG58 cable. Pay CLOSE Attention when attaching the ends to the panel be sure to use the proper connection !!! (IMPORTANT- panel will not work otherwise) . ***IMPORTANT - I suggest buying a small role of teflon tape - OR - MAKING VERY SURE the connections have ben snugged tightly via a small wrench, due to the nature of normal cable movement if you are only tightening by hand you could potentially have a signal loss during use!!*** don't skip this step.. I couldn't send small pieces of teflon tape because it just wouldn't mail well. My apologies, but a bit of inconvenience will assure proper connectivity during use.
**** If you run Jakes boosted setup You may want to use some teflon tape on the amps as well.. Bottom line is you want to be very sure ALL connections are snugged firmly. Amps, RC, Antenna ..
5.5) once you secured the antenna to the top of the pole using the mount, run the cables one wire at a time into the pole itself so it exits the bottom. Once the wiring has come out the bottom using one hand route the wire into the large base top and bottom portion until the wires are now through the pole, the center hole on top, and the center hole on base. basically you want to run the wires through the base from the pole so you can now secure the pole to the base..
6.)Once all the wiring is routed and exiting out bottom of mount, slide the pole into the top hole of mount and SLOWLY put pressure downwards while twisting side to side, the pole is a very tight fit on purpose, use one hand to hold the pole and your other hand to hold underneath the top section so you don't CRACK the top portion while you are twisting pole to bottom. 7.) now that you have fully assembled the unit it should look like this, the pole extends in sections up to 12ft so using your hand untwist the plastic sections and extend, then be sure to secure. Set your desired height and hoist up the mount to a clean level surface area, ( I recommend using the pole as the structure to hoist into air.) 8.) once your mount is in place FIRMLY press down on all 4 corners to be sure all 4 suction cups are properly secured, DO NOT SKIP this step doing so could cause a failure of the mount and damage to your vehicle **** NOT responsible for any DAMAGE caused by mount! *** USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
9.) sit in your car, attach both cables to modified RC , be sure connections are tight… ENJOY YOUR FLIGHT!!! 10.) when its time to go home, use one hand to hold the pole, pull up on the tabs of the pads (little nipple) they will release and allow you to remove mount.. you can always slide your finger nail underneath also to release the suction.. *** when fully extended the mount is a bit top heavy while i can remove it by myself, i have learned how to (death grip on pole !) , until you are comfortable please use 2 people to remove the mount when it is fully extended. it will be easier
because you both can release suction simultaneously, lifting the pole and removing from car. ****
*** once removed from roof I like to coil the wire , and make sure pole is fully collapsed.. I travel with mine with my rear seat folded down… You can also remove the pole completely from the base and keep the antenna and base separate for transportation. **** Feel free to mount on portable tables, on the ground, get creative just make sure its safe and secure!!! ENJOY!!
