Carbon Boiler Technical features The particular design of this tank offer a larger heating surface (larger than one square meter) wrapped in a special heating cover. Once powered up, the cover reaches a temperature of 120°C and keeps the temperature inside the tank walls at 85°C, increasing the thermal exchange with water and, at the same time, preventing lime scale deposition. Operational characteristics Cold water flowing into the tank from below is directed along the heated walls, therefore the temperature exchange between water and the walls is more effective and water is heated up more quickly. This results in reduced and optimized power consumption thanks to: (1) The heater layer – which is made up of Carbon Fiber cables (Carbon Fiber reduces power consumption by 40% offering the same temperature) and (2) power consumption restriction (470 W - 1220 W -1470W in “Plus” mode). The process is supervised by an electronic control unit. This control unit, provided with a display, is connected to the two temperature probes, which are working continuously: one of them is installed in the lower part of the tank and the second in the upper part. The control unit allows users to • Set two working time slots per day. • Manage the operational temperature and restrict power consumption according to the user’s demand for hot water. • Electric power management. Advantages Thanks to the characteristics from above, Thermal Technology’s Carbon Boiler is able to: Thermal Technology® www.thermaltt.com 20  • produce hot water quantities which cannot be compared with similar water heaters; • ensure significant power savings and respect for the environment; • economize due to the modulation operation mode, which is a basic requirement for energy savings and rationalization. Installation recommendations • Of an expansion tank with hot water adjustment function is highly recommended. • Installation of an inlet water pressure adjustment unit. • The installation of a water treatment system is highly recommended. • For clearing rough water (up to 25°f) we recommend the installation of the polyphosphates dispenser which prevents the limestone ingress into the boiler tank. For cleaning the water rougher than 25°f it is necessary to install the plasticizer (UNI8065 Directive). 21  Thermal Technology® www.thermaltt.com
