CCTV Single channel IP Video Encoder This single channel IP Video Encoder can effectively extend the transmission distance of any analogue camera it is connected to by replacing lengths of video cable, and utilising the network, and is the ideal device for supporting the cost effective migration of analogue to IP video systems. Along with triple encoding for more flexibility, The ONVIF specification enables the encoder to be interoperable with many other 3rd party ONVIF IP-based security systems. The integrated motion detection is an enhancement for all analogue systems and provides additional system security. Triple encoding for more flexibility The three main compression standards on today’s market are MJPEG, MPEG4 and H.264. This single channel encoder supports all three standards and is capable of delivering three video streams simultaneously. For highest flexibility three separate streams can be determined according to recording or transmission requirements. In either MJPEG, MPEG4 or H.264 mode images can be recorded with different video resolution and quality to different devices, such as recording on hybrid or IP only recording systems, as well as a PC or smart phones. Answers for infrastructure. Onvif compatibility ONVIF and Siemens are committed to the adoption of common IP communication in the security market. The ONVIF specification will enable Siemens single channel IP encoder to be interoperable with many other 3rd party ONVIF IP-based security systems. PTZ control for dome cameras and pan/tilt devices Pan, tilt and zoom of devices, such as speed domes can be achieved via simple to operate mouse control, including the setting and programming of presets. Bidirectional audio Using an external microphone, resolving situations can be supported by additional important audio information. External loudspeakers can be connected to support bidirectional communication with the observed scene. Privacy masking for sensitive areas In applications where sensitive information must be protected (ie. ATM keyboards), upto 5 privacy zones can be defined to ensure the camera perspective is maintained without having to change the angle of view. Reliable traceability of events and incidents via log book The log book function included in the encoder allows for reliable traceability. Reboots, logins with time, login name plus occurrences while the encoder was running are clearly listed in the log book and can be searched for afterwards. I ntegrated motion detection and event email notification To optimise hard disk storage this encoder features a sophisticated motion detection system. In 3 seperate monitored areas, an area of interest can be defined. If movement occurs within these specified areas, an alarm will be triggered which can be used to start recording. At this point the encoder can automatically send an e-mail with adjustable text to a defined e-mail address. External sensor and alarm out In addition to the integrated motion detection and email notification, the encoder has 1 digital input and 1 digital output allowing for the change of state of an external device (ie. door contact) to trigger an alarm. Improved IT security Due to its integrated Web server, the encoder can be accessed from any standard Internet Web browser to view images. The integrated firewall protects against unauthorised access, while authorised IP addresses can be easily set to allow access to the encoder. Limitlessly extend the video cable If an analogue camera is located where it is difficult or too far to run video cable, then simply connect the camera to an encoder, then to the network. This allows the camera to be viewed, monitored and recorded from a multitude of devices that are connected to the network. Highlights Simultaneous triple-encoding in MJPEG, MPEG4 and H.264 High encoding performance: 25 ips @ PAL, 30 ips @ NTSC Integrated motion detection Bidirectional audio support via external microphone and speakers Onvif compatibility Reliable alarm and message forwarding High internet security Limitlessly extend the video cable compatibility Privacy masking for sensitive areas SD/SDHC card support for local alarm recording RS485 telemetry / PTZ control output The information in this document contains general descriptions of technical options available, which do not always have to be present in individual cases. The required features should therefore be specified in each individual case at the time of closing the contract. © Siemens AB 10/2011 www.siemens.com/securityproducts Siemens plc I BT Security Products Suite 7, Castlegate Business Park Caldicot South Wales NP26 5AD UK Main: +44 (0) 1291 437920 Fax: +44 (0) 1291 437943 email: [email protected]
