Central Monitoring System Installation of CMS Program z Insert the CMS Program CD into the computer and the program will boot automatically..
z InstallShield Wizard for CMS will appear on the computer screen. Click Next to confirm.
z Choose Destination Folder on which you wish to save the program. Click Next after selecting the folder.
z Select the Language by clicking on the circle beside the language. Click Next to confirm.

z Select graphic type depending on the graphic card type installed in the computer. - ATI : Select OVERLAY. - NVIDIA and others : Select RGB. Click Next to confirm.
z Check whether the selected Language and Graphic Type is correct. Click Next to confirm.
z The CMS icon
will be created on your Windows wallpaper.
z Double click the CMS icon
to start the program..

Display Mode
¾Display Screen : Displays transmitted video or playback video. ¾Connection list : Connect to DVR and select DVR/Camera from the list. ¾Sensor/Control Screen : Activate Sensor/Control or check the status of Sensor/Control. ¾System Utility : Click ‘start’ button for Log In/Out, Setup, Search, and E-Map. ¾Status/Save Disk : Displays information of System events and save disk list.

The transmitted video data of the connected DVR/DVRs are being saved on the CMS. : It will appear if audio recording is in progress. Click the icon to listen to the audio.
M 07-02 09:16:44 : - The alphabet represents the event mode that is being transmitted.(M for Motion and C for Continuous.) - “07-02 09:16:44” represents the DVR System date/time.
z Single Channel Display : Double click the channel from the multi-screen display. - E-Map : Click the - Print : Click the - Capture : Click the

z Screen Switch on Display mode : Put the mouse on the screen, click mouse right button and drag to the desired screen to change the channel location on the screen.

Display & Sensor/Control & Screen Division Display(Connection List) There are two methods of connection.(Pre-Memorize and DVR list) z Pre-Memorize - Displays the pre-memorized display list. - Select multiple DVRs/Cameras that is to be displayed.. z DVR List - List of registered DVRs. - Select a DVR from the list for Single DVR display.
z Single / Multiple Mode - Click
button to initiate single DVR connection.

Sensor/Control - Select the registered DVR name, then click the controlbutton to activate an alarm or control a unit.. .
Screen Division - Select the display type from the various multi-screen display modes.
Status z Status List : Displays the event message of CMS program.
- Click the button to check the event log. Re-Click the button to make the screen disappear.

Central Monitoring System z Save Disk List : Displays which storage drives are being used for storage.
- Free memory capacity and the status of each drive can be checked.
z Digi-Clock : Displays the date of CMS system. Display format can be changed.
System Utility
z Search : Perform general search and special search (real time, multi time, day search), object search. Perform Image Print/Save, and Conversion to AVI File format.
z Setup : Setup User, DVR, Display, Save Disk, EMC, etc.
z E-Map : Manage DVR Sites, Cameras, Sensor/Control using map or diagram.

Central Monitoring System z Log Viewer : Check ‘Log file’ in the CMS system by clicking the button.
z Log Out : Perform Log In/Out, Exit CMS, Shutdown of PC, EMC Standby , and Cancel.
** Default User ID : administrator / Password : 1234 Ask administrator or dealer if you forget the ID or PW.

Setup z USER : Assign different authority level for each user.
Registered user list : Lists the group of registered users. Register new user : click this button to register new user. Privilege : Assign different authority level for each user. My image : Attach a bmp image of the registered User. Apply : Click Apply after registering a new user. Change Password : Type in new password and click Apply. The following screen will pop-up. Type in the current password and type in the new password for confirmation and click OK.

z DVR Setup : Setup the network connection to the remote DVR.
Registered DVR list : Displays list of the registered DVRs. IP address of my computer : Displays the IP address of the CMS installed computer. DVR Info : Type in the network information of the remote DVR.
DVR Registration - Type in the DVR name, DVR Type, Port Number, DVR IP Address, then click OK to complete the registration.

Central Monitoring System Delete : Delete the registered DVR. (Possible only when the DVR is disconnected.) Edit DVR : Edit setup information of the registered DVR. (Possible only when the DVR is disconnected.) Conn. Setting : This is for modem connection setup. You should setup Modem on OS, and this button will be enabled. Adjust the time for retrying connection. If there is no response from the DVR, the system will retry connection according to the parameters.
Pre-connect : Connect the selected DVR. Remote setup : Perform remote setup of the connected DVR. Name I/O : Change the name of Sensor and Control. Double click ‘Enter name’ to change the name.

Show versions : Displays the version of the installed CMS, click Send DVR version to view the version of the remote DVR.
DVR Info: Displays the information of the connected DVR(Program version, Board Type, number of Sensors and Controls.)

z DISPLAY
DISPLAY : Displays the list of pre-memorized DVRs/Cameras for selected pre-memorized group. Pre-Memorize : Click “+” or “--” to add or delete a pre-memorized group. Screen Info : Select DVR Name and Camera Number to add DVR/Camera to a pre-memorized group. PTZ info : Check the information of PTZ setup of each DVR.

z SAVE DISK Transmitted video data from the connected DVR will be saved in the assigned storage according to the schedule set up in this setup screen.
DVR Name : Displays the list of registered DVRs. Mode : Select C for continuous backup. Select N if backup is not required. Backup Schedule : Setup Backup Schedule for the selected DVR. - Select the date & time by dragging the mouse on the relevant area or click an area. - Change the mode by clicking C (Continue) or N (Not Recording) Save Drive : Assign the disk drive on which backup will be made. Info : Displays backup information .

z EMC (Emergency Management Center)
EMC mode : When an emergency event occurs on the site, the event image is transmitted to the CMS system automatically with multiple or single screen. Enable EMC : Checkmark to enable EMC. Select the event mode (Motion or Sensor) Auto pop-up : When EMC is activated by motion or sensor/control, the event image will appear on the monitoring screen in either the multi-screen or single mode mode. Enable alarm sound : Checkmark to enable alarm sound when EMC is activated. Open the folder and select wave file. EMC activation : After completing the setup, go to monitoring mode. Click ‘log out’ button, and select ‘EMC standby’ button to activate the EMC mode. EMC icon( ) will be generated on the bottom right hand corner of the Windows Screen. When EMC mode is activated by motion or sensor/control, the event screen will automatically pop-up, and the EMC icon will turn red.

EMC single screen pop-up :When EMC single screen auto pop-up is selected the images will pop-up automatically with DVR name and camera number.
Close EMC : Click and with mouse right button and select Close EMC from the pop-up menu. Return to Monitoring screen : Click and select from the pop-up menu. Event Log : Click
and select Open event message box.

z OTHER
PTZ controller option : Select ‘multiple controller’ if you have separate controller for each PTZ camera. ‘Single controller’ is one controller to manage all PTZ cameras. Tool tip : Shows function explanation when the mouse cursor is placed on the function key. Digi-clock display format : Select display format of digi-clock. Restore setting value from the latest registry backup file : Select to restore the latest setup values. When installing new CMS on the same system, the latest setup values may be restored using this function. Send list-message board to recycle bin : Send all message on ‘Message board’ to recycle bin. Backup Log : Backup log data. Auto reconnection : If network is unstable and is disconnect for a period of time, automatic re-connection attempt will be performed at the set intervals and counts.

Central Monitoring System Remote Setup z REMOTE SETUP : Setup configurations for remote DVR via Network. z CAMERA
Camera List : Select Single/Multi/All cameras. Camera Name : Type in the name(site) of camera. Covert : Selected camera will be hidden from the monitor display. Motion Detect : - All : All areas are designated for motion detection. - Clear : Clear all motion detection designated areas. - Part : Designate motion detection areas. - Sensitivity : Select the sensitivity level of motion detection. Color Info : - Brightness : Adjust the brightness level of the selected camera. - Contrast : Adjust the contrast level of the selected camera. - Hue : Adjust the hue level of the selected camera. PTZ : Setup the protocol/address/baud rate of the PTZ Camera.

Image Size : Select the recording resolution. - NTSC : 352x240, 720x240, 352x480, 720x480 - PAL : 352x288, 720x288, 352x576, 720x576 ※ Different resolutions can be set up in 2 groups for the 8 and 16 channel DVR models. Watermark : Digital encoding will be made on the images for authentication. Select whether to apply watermark on the recording for the selected group. Time Stamp : Select whether to overlay the time of recording on the video for the selected camera group. Camera List : Select Single/Multi/All cameras. Camera : The selected camera number will be displayed. Quality : Select the video quality level of the selected camera.. Recording Frame : Select the recording frame rate of the selected camera using the scroll bar. Post Recording Time : Select the recording dwell time when a sensor and motion event occurs. (Max. 600 seconds) Pre Recording Time : Select the pre-recording time from the point when a sensor is triggered. (Max. 30 seconds) Audio Record : Select the audio recording channels.

Camera Selection mode : Recordings can be scheduled for Single or Multi cameras. - Continue : record continuously. - Motion : record only when motion is detected. - Motion+Sensor : record only when Motion is detected and Sensor is activated. - Sensor : record only when Sensor is activated. Time Table : Select the recording mode by clicking on the colored Square/Select All/Weekday/Time button.

SENSOR : Designate the camera and alarm(Output) link for each sensors. - Sensor List : Select the sensor for camera and alarm link. - Mapping Camera to IO : Select the camera that is to be linked to the selected sensor. - Alarm Mapping : Select the alarm that is to be linked to the selected sensor. - Operation Time : Select the duration for which the alarm will operate. - Full Screen Mode : Select whether to display the camera linked to the sensor in full screen mode when the sensor is triggered. (cannot be applied if several cameras are linked to the sensor.) - Sensor Type : Select the sensor type.(NO or NC) - Output Dwell Time : Select the duration of the alarm output. MOTION : Designate the camera and alarm(Output) link when motion is detected. - Camera : Select the camera for alarm link. - Alarm Mapping : Select the alarm that is to be linked to the selected camera. - Operation Time :Sselect the duration for which the alarm will operate. - Full Screen Mode : Select whether to display the camera in full screen mode when motion is detected. - Output Dwell Time : Select the duration of the alarm output.

DVR name : Name of the connected DVR will be displayed. Color system : Color system(NTSC or PAL) of the DVR will be displayed. Version : Firmware version of the DVR will be displayed. NETWORK : IP information of the DVR will be displayed. - Baud rate : Select the network transmission rate of the DVR. Time Setting : Synchronize the time of the DVR to the time set up in the CMS.

User Info : Change the Name, Password, Privilege(Authority level) of the User. - Only the Administrator(ADMIN) can change the setup values.

Playback screen : Displays playback images on the screen. Digi-clock/ Calendar : Digi-clock shows current system time. The date which contains recorded data is displayed in orange. Time table : After data loading is completed, the recorded data will be shown on the time table. SEARCH : Perform file search from the storage disk drive by clicking the button. System Utility buttons : Access to SPECIAL SEARCH and SAVE function. SPECIAL SEARCH provides Real Player, Multi Time Player, Day Search, Object Search. Click OPEN to select the recording mode types. Screen Division/Playback scroll : Select the multi-screen type. Camera Number : Camera selection during Special Search .

Central Monitoring System LOCAL SEARCH : Click the SEARCH button to search data saved in the storage drive. Select the relevant DVR folder(DVR Name) and click OK.
Calendar Calendar : Select the day highlighted in orange to load the saved data. Click
to return to the current calendar page.
Time table z Click the date from the calendar to load the saved data. z Different colored cells will appear on the time table where recorded data exists. z Double click a cell to playback the data for the selected time.
Data cell : Each data cell indicates different recording mode, so you can locate the data according to the type of event. : (Pink), Sensor recording. : (Red), Continue recording. : (Yellow), Motion recording.

Central Monitoring System Playback Screen C10(Camera 10) : C10 is screen number, Camera10 is the camera name. x 1 : Zoom magnification. (Up to 5x supported.) Place the mouse on a screen, and double click the mouse left button. The selected screen will change to a single screen. Click the right button for zoom magnification to 5 times (x5). To return to the multi-screen mode, double click the mouse left button. 00:00:00:093 (M) : Hour: Minute: Second: Millisecond (Recording mode) .

Central Monitoring System z Playback control buttons : - Move to the first image of the data. - Reverse playback per frame. - Reverse playback. - Stop. - Playback in normal speed. - Forward playback per frame. - Move to the last image of the data. z General Search : Click OPEN and select the event mode types.
z
: Click Special Search button to select an advanced search tool
Real Player : Single channel playback in real time mode. Multi Time Player : Simultaneous search of multiple time zone in 36 multi-screen mode. Double click the data cell on the time table, or drag and drop it on the screen. Use playback buttons to perform search. Day Search : Individual camera search based on One hour/10 Minute/1 Minute interval. Double click the screen to change the interval or click RETURN(Lower right hand corner screen) to return to the previous interval. Not Found will be displayed on the screen if no data exists in that time zone. Object Search : Specify a zone on an image and perform a search based on any motion and missing objects. - Select a camera and drag the mouse on the screen to specify the search zone. - Select the sensitivity level and whether to perform search per Second or Minute basis. - Select the time frame of the search and click . - Result : Select a file from the list to perform playback.
※ Re-Click Special Search button to return to the general search screen.

z Save : Click to save the data as JPEG or AVI format. Data will be saved with viewer, so it will auto-run and the saved data can be viewed on any PC without a special program.
Camera : Select a camera. Time setting : Setup the time of the data which you’re going to save. Click the calendar, and select the date. Setup the time and save duration from 1 to 120 minutes. Preview : Select to view the data before converting/saving the data. Save file folder : Click the folder icon, and select the location where the data will be saved. Default is C:\CMS_2KV3, and file name is the time data is saved. Storage space : Displays the coversion progress and the available storage space. JPEG : Save image in JPEG format. AVI : Convert and save video data in AVI format. Print : Print the image.

Click the date from the calendar to search data stored in the DVR. - Dates containing recording data will be highlighted in orange. Click the data cell from the time table and click the playback button to start playback. - Or double click the data cell to start playback

Central Monitoring System z Recording Event : Search stored data according to events. - Checkmark the event mode. (This function is supported only for PC Type DVRs)
z One Camera search : Perform search of individual camera. - Select a camera, event mode, and time.
※ Return to multi-screen mode : Click Recording Event button and double click the screen or select from the various multi-screen types.

z CMS MAP: DVR locations can be managed using the CMS MAP. You may connect to the DVR located in various sites by simply clicking the site icons
from
the map. If an event is triggered at the site, the site icon will flash. SITE Map will be linked with the CMS Map.
z CMS Map Editor Click
to enter E-Map screen.
Save a map and mark the sites where DVRs have been installed. - Click
.
- Enter File and select New. - Select a map from the directory.(Supports JPG and BMP files.) - Click
and click a point on the map to place the Site Icon on the map.
- Double click the Site Icon and type in the SITE NAME. The Site Name should be identical to the DVR Name registered in DVR Setup. - Enter File and select Save. Add new map. - Click
.
- Enter Edit and select Add Map. - Select a map from the directory.

Central Monitoring System z SITE MAP : DVRs/Cameras/Sensors/Controls can be managed using the Site Map. You may connect to Cameras in various locations and perform Controls(Alarms & Controls) by simply clicking the Camera or Control Icons from the map. You may monitor Sensor status.
z SITE Map Editor Save a map or diagram and mark the Cameras/Sensors/Controls have been installed. - Click
.
- Enter File and select New. - Select a map/diagram from the directory.(Supports JPG and BMP files.) - Click
and click on the map/diagram where the Cameras have been installed.

- Click the mouse right button to change the direction of the Camera Icon or to change to a PTZ Icon. - Click
and type in the SITE Name and Site IP Address. The Site Name should be
identical to the DVR Name registered in DVR Setup. - Enter File and select Save. - The file will be saved in the folder [C:\CMS_2KV3\emap]. - The icons can be deleted by dragging it to the rubbish bin.
z The Site Map of the selected DVR can also be accessed by clicking the monitoring.

View 1) CAMERA STATE: Camera information can be viewed. 2) CONTROL STATE: Control information can be viewed. 3) SENSOR STATE: Sensor information can be viewed. About 1) Display E-Map Editor version.

Central Monitoring System z Remote monitoring of the DVR may be performed simply by using the Internet Explorer. The user is not required to install a dedicated program in the computer and remote monitoring may be performed anywhere in the world where internet connection is available. z Connecting to the DVR using Internet Explorer 1. Type in the IP address of the DVR in the address bar of the Internet Explorer. - For example : Type in http://192.165.25.1255
2. Installing ActiveX. - A message(security certificate) will appear below the address bar asking whether you wish to install the ActiveX control. - Click on the security certificate to load the ActiveX control and wait for the Security Warning window to pop up on the screen. ※ If the message "Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls“ or other messages to this effect, you need to change your security settins in Internet Explorer.

z PTZ Control - Click on the direction buttons to for Pan/Tilt operation of PTZ cameras. - Click -/+ buttons to Zoom In/Out.
z PTZ Speed Control - Select Pan/Tilt/Zoom/Focus and click the PTZ Speed to control PTZ camera movement speed.
z PTZ Preset - Click the preset number to control PTZ camera movement.
