CONNECTING POWER Plug the small end of the supplied power adapter into the DC IN jack at the back of the unit, plug the adapter body into the standard AC wall socket. CAUTION: The unit is designed to operate from a mains supply of AC 120V~60Hz. If the adapter does not fit properly, turn it over and again. Do not force it. NOTES: When the unit is not operated by the AC power or unused for long periods of the time. Please remove the power adapter from the wall outlet and unplug from the main unit.

SETTING THE CLOCK TO SET THE DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME (DST) 1. Depending on your location and the period of Daylight Saving Time (DST) to be in effective during summer, you can manually set the daylight saving time by sliding the DST switch on the unit to +1 position to advance the clock by one hour. 2 Slide the DST switch to -1 position to substrate one hour from current to back to normal daylight time. TO SET TIME AND DATE MANUALLY You can set time manually by following below procedures: 1. Press and hold the CLOCK SET button on the top of the unit for 2 sec until the hour & minutes flashes on the display. 2. Press + or - button to set 12 or 24 hour. Press CLOCK SET button to confirm. 3. Press the + or - button to set the correct hour (hold the button for faster advance). Remember to set the correct AM or PM time. The AM/PM Indicators appear to the left of the time display. 4. Press the CLOCK SET button gain. Press the + or - Button to set the correct minute (hold the button for faster advance). 5. Press the CLOCK SET button again. The year will flash. Press the + or Button until the current year is displayed. 6. Press the CLOCK SET button again. The month will flash. Press the + or Button until the current month is displayed. 7. Press the CLOCK SET button again. The date will flash. Press the + or button until the current date is displayed. 8. Press the CLOCK SET button again (or no button pressed within 10 seconds) to exit the manual setting mode. TO DISPLAY THE YEAR 1. Press the CLOCK SET button. Year will display for 2 seconds.
USING THE ALARM CEU1800-BT has a dual alarm system. The unit allows you to set each alarm to wake-to selectable sound sources from either radio or buzzer independently. The unit also allows you to set each alarm frequencies with Everyday/Weekday/Weekend alarm modes. ALARM 1 and ALARM 2 can be set with the same procedures.

USING THE ALARM (Cont’d) TO SET THE ALARM 1. Press and hold ALARM 1 button until the alarm hour flashes. 2. Press the + or - button to set the alarm hour. (hold the button for fast advance). Note: Remember to set the correct AM or PM time. 3. Press ALARM 1 button to confirm the alarm hour and start to set alarm minute. 4. Press + or - button to set the alarm minute. (hold the button for fast advance). 5. Press ALARM 1 button again to confirm and start to set alarm date mode (date of week). 6. Press + or - button to set the alarm date mode as follows: Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri Sat Sun = Everyday mode Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri = Weekday mode Sat Sun = Weekend mode 7. Press ALARM 1 button again to confirm and start to set the sound source (waketo radio or wake-to buzzer). 8. Press + or - button to set the sound source. Press ALARM 1 to confirm. 9. If this is the first time to set the alarm you need to press ALARM 1 button twice to activiate it. You will see either “RADIO” or “BUZZER” icon turns on. Note: If the alarm is set as wake-to RADIO, the alarm goes off when the radio is ON and playing. The unit would automatically switch to BUZZER mode and alarm sound will become buzzer sound so you would not miss the alarm. TO REVIEW THE ALARM 1. After the alarm has been set, to review the alarm time, press ALARM 1 (or ALARM 2) button once. The set alarm time will show on the display. 2. After 3 seconds, it will go back to normal time display. TO TURN THE ALARM ON/OFF 1. During the alarm time review, press ALARM 1 (or ALARM 2) button again to toggle alarm ON/OFF. If the alarm has been activated (turned on), either BUZZER or RADIO icon will display below the ALARM icon and vice versa. 2. After 3 seconds, it will go back to normal time display. TO STOP THE ALARM AND RESET THE ALARM READY FOR THE NEXT DAY 1. When the alarm is sounding, press ALARM 1 (or ALARM 2 or ALARM OFF) button to stop the alarm. 2. The unit would be automatically reset and ready for the next day. (For example, if alarm set for weekday mode and you stop the alarm on Friday, the alarm will come again on next Monday, not Saturday. SNOOZE FUNCTION 1. Press the SNOOZE/DIMMER button after an alarm sounds. The alarm will be silenced for the snooze duration preiod and then sound again. 2. Snooze can be pressed several times around the 1 hour alarm cycle. The snooze duration is 7 minutes. (7->14->21->28->35->42->49->56) ALARM DURING POWER FAILURE 1. If backup battery (not empty) is installed, the buzzer alarm will still sound for 60 seconds in the event of power failure. (Snooze function is disabled.) 2. To stop the buzzer sound, you can press the ALARM OFF button. EN-9
LISTENING TO RADIO TO SET UP ANTENNA 1. Extend FM antenna fully and rotate the unit to the best orientation for the best reception. TO TUNE THE RADIO TO DESIRED CHANNEL MANUALLY 1. Press the ALARM OFF button to turn on the radio. 2. Press and hold the ▲ or ▼ button for 2 seconds (release when the frequency in the display starts to run automatically) the unit will scan upward or downward until a channel with strong signal is found and stop at this channel. 3. Repeat the step 2 for tuning upward or download for searching other radio channel. 4. Press the VOLUME + or - button to adjust the speaker volume level. 5. To turn off the radio, press the POWER ON/OFF button once. PRESET RADIO CHANNEL 1. Press the ALARM OFF button to turn on the radio. 2. Check whether the current frequency is the radio channel to be preset. If not, press and hold ▲ or ▼ button for 2 seconds to scan for a radio channel. 3. Press and hold the RADIO PRESET button for 2 seconds. 4. The “PRESET” and “1” icons are displayed and blinking. 5. Press ▲ or ▼ button to select the present preset station from 1 to 10 and stop at the desired preset station. 6. Press RADIO PRESET button once to confirm and store the channel to the selected preset station. The “PRESET” and channel icons stop to blink and will display for 3 seconds. Then they disappear and current time will be displayed. 7. Repeat step 2 to 6 to preset other radio channel. NOTE: All preset stations had been set to 87.5MHz at the factory. All preset stations will be stored in the memory and is backup by Lithium battery. SELECT PRESET STATION 1. Press the ALARM OFF button to turn on the radio. 2. Radio channel is resumed to the last setting. 3. Press the RADIO PRESET button once to go to the previously activated preset station. 4. Press the RADIO PRESET button repeatly to walk through all preset stations (looping 1=>2=>3...=>10=>1). Radio broadcast can be heard during the selection. 5. Stop at the desired preset station. 6. After 3 seconds the current time will be displayed together with RADIO and FM icon. 7. To select other preset station by pressing the RADIO PRESET button once to get the “PRESET” and current channel icons in the display and then press this button repeatly to go to the desired preset station before these icons disappear.

USING AUX IN JACK You can play any portable or external audio device with a standard 3.5mm stereo audio cable (not included) via the AUX IN jack on the unit. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7.
Plug one end of a standard 3.5mm stereo audio cable into the earphone or line-out jack on your external device and plug the another end of the audio cable into the unit’s AUX IN jack. Press ALARM OFF button to turn on source input. You can see either bluetooth, radio or aux-in icon lights up. Press SOURCE button until AUX icon turns on. Turn on and play your external audio device. Press the VOLUME + / - buttons to set the speaker volume level. You may need to adjust the volume on your external device as well. To stop the AUX playback, press the SOURCE button once to change back to RADIO mode or turn off the unit by pressing the ALARM OFF button. Please remember to turn off your external device. Remember to turn off your external audio device after playback.
SETTING DISPLAY BRIGHTNESS During the normal operation (when no alarm is sounding), press the SNOOZE / DIMMER button to control the brightness of the LCD display. There are FOUR levels of dimmer control.
USING USB CHARGER You can charge your smartphone or tablet through the USB charger (DC 5V, 2.4A) at any time. Use the USB cable of your mobile device for connection.

USING SLEEP TIMER Sleep timer lets you sleep to your radio or AUX IN playback and the unit shuts off at the selected time. TO SET SLEEP TIMER 1. During Bluetooth/ RADIO/ AUX is ON, Press the SLEEP/NAP button to enter SLEEP mode. 2. The SLEEP icon on the display will be blinking. 3. Press the SLEEP/NAP Button to cycle though 15 > 30 > 45 >60 > 90 minutes or OFF to select the sleep time. (OFF means to cancel the sleep timer) 4. When the desired duration is shown (for example, 60 minutes), stop and wait for 2 seconds to confirm. The sleep timer will start counting down and the SLEEP icon will be blinking and showing on the display. 5. When the sleep timer is counting down, press the SLEEP/NAP button to display the remaining time of the timer. 6. If you want to change the sleep timer, press the SLEEP/NAP button again to cycle though again and select new sleep time or OFF. TO CANCEL SLEEP TIMER 1. Press the SLEEP/NAP button and cycle through 15 > 30 > 45 >60 > 90 > OFF until OFF is displayed and wait for 2 seconds to cancel the sleep timer.
USING NAP TIMER Nap timer lets you to set a timer other than the regular alarm function when the unit POWER OFF. The NAP timer can only wake to BUZZER. TO SET NAP TIMER 1. During Bluetooth/ RADIO/ AUX is OFF, Press the SLEEP/NAP button to enter NAP mode. 2. The NAP icon and nap timer will be displayed. 3. Press the SLEEP/NAP Button to cycle though 15 > 30 > 45 >60 > 90 minutes > OFF to select the nap time. (OFF means to cancel the nap timer) 4. When the desired duration is shown (for example, 60 minutes), stop and wait for 2 seconds to confirm. The nap timer will start counting down and the NAP icon will display on the display. 5. When the nap timer is counting down, press the SLEEP/NAP button to display the remaining time of the timer. 6. If you want to change the nap timer, press the SLEEP/NAP button again to cycle though again and select new nap time or OFF. TO CANCEL NAP TIMER 1. Press the SLEEP/NAP button and cycle through 15 > 30 > 45 >60 > 90 > OFF until OFF is displayed and wait for 2 seconds to cancel the nap timer.

BLUETOOTH OPERATION Pairing with a Bluetooth device If the unit has never been paired with a Bluetooth device before, you need to follow the pairing instructions below to link the Bluetooth Alarm Clock Radio with your Bluetooth device. 1. Turn on the unit. 2. The unit will search the paired device with the bluetooth icon flashing quickly and two "beep” will be heard. 3. Turn on bluetooth function of your device and enable the search or scan function to find the Bluetooth Alarm Clock Radio. (See your device's instructions to add or setup a bluetooth device). 4. Select "CEU1800-BT" from the device list when it appears on your device screen. If required, enter the pass code "0000" to pair (link) CEU1800-BT with your device. 5. After successfully paired with a device, the bluetooth icon will stay lit and you will hear a “beep” which confirms the pairing had been done. Note: If you cannot pair the unit with your bluetooth enabled device, you can try to turn off and then turn on the unit again for pairing. To pair with another Bluetooth device 1. Press and hold the PAIRING button for 2 seconds to unpair your current bluetooth device. 2. Repeat above step 2 to 5 to pair another bluetooth device. 3. Press the PAIRING button again to repair current bluetooth device if you want. Playing from a paired Bluetooth device You can play music from your bluetooth device wirelessly to Bluetooth Alarm Clock Radio CEU1800-BT by following the steps below after successfully paired. 1. To select your favorite song, press the PLAY button on your bluetooth device to start playback. 2. Press the VOLUME +/- buttons of the unit until you obtain a comfortable listening level. 3. Press the PAIRING button to pause and press again to resume. Note: 1. Your bluetooth enabled device will not play the music through the Bluetooth Alarm Clock Radio, even if connected (linked) if the device does not support the A2DP Bluetooth profile. 2. Please do not forget to switch off the power of your external audio device as well if you do not use it for other purposes.

INSTALLING / REPLACING BACKUP BATTERY BATTERY LOW INDICATOR When the backup battery power is low, the low battery indication icon will display and blink. It is time to replace the backup battery. TO INSTALL / REPLACE BACKUP BATTERY 1. Make sure the AC adaptor is connected during battery replacement. Otherwise, all settings may be lost and reset. 2. Remove the screw that secures the battery door by using a screwdriver. 4. Insert a new battery with “+” positive facing up. Only CR2025 3V lithium battery should be used. 5. Insert the battery door back into the unit. 6. Secure the battery door by using a screwdriver. 7. After the battery replacement, the low battery indication icon will disappear.

The source sound is distorted. If the original sound source(MP3) on your external device is of poor quality, the distortion and noises are easily noticed with speakers
Try a different audio source with better sound quality
Audio cable has not been connected properly.
Check the connection of audio cable between the unit and the external audio device.
