Each of the 8 banks consist of a heavy duty soft touch foot switch, LED on/off indicator, 10 effects select DIP switch and effects selected on/off indicator LED's. 1. FX-1 through FX-8 Effects Foot Switch's - Heavy duty Soft Touch (click-less) momentary Switches. Engages/disengages the effects that are programmed for that switches bank. 1. LED's - When illuminated all effect loops that are programmed in the on position are placed in the instrument signal path. There are 8 different LED color's for each effect bank. FX-1 Blue, FX-2 Orange, FX-3 Yellow, FX-4 Pink, FX-5 Aqua, FX-6 Cyan, FX-7 Warm White, FX-8 White. 2. EFFECT LOOPS SELECTED LED's - There are 10 Effect Loop Selected LED's, blue & orange. Each one corresponds to your effects plugged into the Send & Return jacks and the 10 switches located on each banks DIP switch. You can turn off all of these LED's at one time by depressing the EFFECTS SELECT LED'S ON-OFF push button. 3. BYPASS - When engaged the input signal path bypasses all programmed FX inputs and goes directly to Output jack. *Note: If the BUFFER switch is in the engaged ON position, then the BYPASSED signal will be routed through the Buffer circuit then to the OUTPUT jack. 4. TUNER/MUTE - When engaged the Input device is muted and no signal is routed to the OUTPUT jack. This will also engage the TUNER jack for silent tuning of your instrument using a tuner of your choice. This allows you to remove your tuner out of your instruments signal path and leave the tuner on all the time. 5. BUFFER OFF-ON - When in the ON position the Buffer circuit is engaged, when in the OFF position the Buffer circuit is completely removed from the instruments signal path using True Bypass switching. See *NOTE: Below 6. BUFFER SELECT - The Buffer Select switch allows you have control of where the actual Buffer circuit is place in the instruments signal path. When the switch is in the OFF/ALL position the Buffer circuit is placed after the Instrument Input jack and all effects will be buffered. When in the 6-10 position the Buffer circuit is place just before the effects plugged into the S6,R6 jacks, leaving the effects plugged into the S,R 1-5 jacks unbuffered. *NOTE: To turn off the buffer, both the BUFFER and BUFFER SELECT switches must be in the OFF (left) position. If the BUFFER SELECT switch is in the 6-10 position there will be no signal at the output jack. BACK SIDE A total of 10 individual effects can be plugged into the Chain Gang. You can also combine multiple effects into one channel. Jacks for channel 1 - 8 are located on the back side with 9 on the left side and 10 located on the right side. Use a small jeweler screwdriver or a guitar pick tip to gently slide the white DIP switches. Up for on or down for off. It is that simple. For example, in the photo to the left switch's 4 and 7 are turned on, up position.
