Overview
Features
TS082x series of data gathering panels (DGPs) are used to expand the number of inputs and outputs (or relays) on the Challenger system.

TS0820/TS0824 - 8 zone inputs
•
TS0827 - 4 zone inputs
•
8-input DGPs can be expanded to 32 inputs
•
8-input DGPs can be used with TS0840, TS0841, or TS0842 expanders to add 8 or 16 relays or outputs
•
DGPs are polled for online state
•
1 siren output (except when used at DGP address 15)
•
Tamper input
DGPs allow installers to easily terminate wiring connections for inputs and relay outputs at locations away from the panel. Up to 15 DGPs can be connected directly to each Challenger control panel over a reliable RS-485 data bus, thereby minimizing cable runs. If a communications failure occurs, the data gathering panel remembers its last alarm, helping to identify possible reasons for faults. The TS0820 and TS0824 includes 8 standard inputs and a siren output. This standard configuration can be expanded to 32 inputs and 16 outputs. The TS0827 is an economy DGP that has similar features but offers only four inputs and no integrated power supply or siren output. No expansion is possible. DGPs and other expansion modules can be mounted in Challenger metal housings.
