Important points for DEMO  There will be minimum of two participants per location.  Each participant shall submit the recorded video of the entire demo on CD/DVD as evidence which will be used for further evaluation.  Datasheets and technical literature of each & every hardware & software to be submitted by each participant.  Any excuse for non-performance of any functionality/feature from any participant shall not be considered and will be deemed as incapability.  Any request for extension/postponement of demo from any participant shall not be considered. The evaluation committee will be final authority and the verdict of the committee same shall be binding to all.  It is recommended that the team members remain with their assigned teams throughout the demo period as any change/interchange may affect the outcome.  Some of the parameters listed below shall be checked from the datasheet of the installed equipment.  It is recommended to implement all the requirements for the suggested functionality.  Simulation will be carried out as and when required. Steps for site readiness for demo Prior to allotting any location for the demo, the following points should be taken care of: 1. Specific location/pole for camera mounting. 2. Power availability. 3. Local room with basic infrastructure to house the equipment & to evaluate the demo. 4. Remote monitoring room – if any. 5. Permissions from Govt. /local bodies regarding the same. 6. The above mentioned exercise should be completed 2-3 weeks prior to the date of commencement of the demo. 7. Area of coverage. 3. Position of each camera: define what needs to be captured with each camera. 4. Consider environment: light conditions. 5. Consider cabling for cameras. 6. Positioning of the recording server. Camera and/or video encoder 1. Image quality requirements: resolution, compression and frame rate. 2. Light sensitivity and lens selection. 3. Outdoor/indoor, fixed/fixed dome/PTZ/PTZ dome network camera. 4. Consider needs such as Power over Ethernet (PoE), video motion detection, audio etc. 5. Housing, mounting and other accessories. Hardware components 1. Additional switches (PoE, wireless options). 2. Additional light sources. 3. Power supplies and eventually UPS. 4. Server for video management software. 5. Check recorded events for all cameras. 2. Check motion detection settings again. 3. Check free space on hard drive and accordingly adjust recording options. Functionality & features to be checked as listed below Analytics Note: The installed system/s need to be regularized and requires approval from competent authority/Govt. of Gujarat. Security feature - Role based access needs to checked 1. Administrator – Full access to all Camera Station’s functionalities. 2. Operator – Access to all functionalities (including recorded events) except the configuration pages. 3. Viewer – Access only to live video. 4. Password / authentication for the above three role / levels. ANPR (Day and Night time activities) ANPR will be checked in day & night time. The purpose is to check the number plate identifying & capturing capability. It will be checked on various parameters in terms of size, font, color, mounting height, format of number plates. Follow these steps to check: 1. Dummy database will be created for 15 to 20 cars (as Stolen Vehicle) 2. Those cars passed from different cross roads at different time period of the demo(will be check if alarm is generated) 3. Number Plate will be captured and matched with dummy database 4. Database will be checked for other vehicle identified Number plate (based on size of vehicle) 5. Color and Make of the vehicle will be checked 6. Follow these steps to check: 1. Two images will be captured between the time and date stamps. 2. Calculate the difference of the time captured by the two images. 3. The distance between the two images would be measured approximately. 4. Or any other methodology if it is not based on average speed methodology as narrated above. 5. Or any other specialized way. Acceptance ratio will also be checked (number of persons captured/total number of persons moved against the camera). Subsequently, functionality of matching the captured face with the reference database will also be checked. Steps to check: 1. 10 to 15 pictures of faces will be stored in the software as a reference Database. 2. Out of which 2 to 3 people will be made to pass from the location where camera is installed. 3. This will enable us to check whether the software is able to identify person. 4. 2 to 3 people will be made to stand in a crowd and we will be able to check if software is able to identify them from the database. It shows the total number of people present in a closed area & if installed at main single entrance. Steps to check: 1. Camera will be installed at the demo location. 2. Software will be programed to generate alarm beyond no. of people. 3. More people will assemble near demo location so as to make a crowd. 4. We will then check the number of people captured from crowd in the software. Light condition (Strong sunlight, Full daylight, office light, poorly lit room) – the more the light on the object the more quality image will be generated. Observation - With little light, focusing will be difficult and the image will be noisy or dark. 2. Iris space used to maintain light level and depth of field to obtain sharp image – generally it should be auto iris for outdoor camera. 3. Compression type (H.264 requires much less bandwidth than MPEG-4 and Motion JPEG) 3. Compression ratio (the higher the compression, the lower the bandwidth usage) 4. Frame rate (the higher the frame rate, the higher the bandwidth usage) 5. Image complexity (the more motion or scene changes, the higher the bandwidth usage) A camera will use approx. 2 to 3 megabit of bandwidth when configured to deliver high quality images at high frame rates.
