1. General Information 1.1 What is Intelisolve? Intelisolve is a highly respected provider of hydraulics and hydrology design and analysis software for civil engineering. The company provides a suite of easy-to-use software applications that includes Hydraflow Storm Sewers, for storm sewer analysis and design; Hydraflow Hydrographs, for pond design and modeling; and Hydraflow Express, a calculator with tools for common hydraulic elements, including culverts, channels, weirs, and inlets. Intelisolve’s products are used by more than 2,000 public- and private-sector organizations, primarily in North America.
1.2 Why did Autodesk acquire Intelisolve’s business? Autodesk acquired Intelisolve’s business in order to add important capabilities for hydraulic and hydrologic design and analysis to Autodesk’s technology portfolio for civil engineering and to help expand your ability to perform crucial parts of the civil engineering workflow. This acquisition will also allow our civil engineering customers to design and analyze efficient storm water management systems, an important criterion for sustainable land development.
1.3 How will Intelisolve’s products be offered to Autodesk customers? Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension for AutoCAD® Civil 3D® is available to AutoCAD Civil 3D subscription customers as a downloadable extension from the Autodesk Subcription Center. The

plans for releasing the Hydraflow Hydrographs and Hydraflow Express technology are under development and will be announced soon. 1.4 If I am not a Civil 3D subscription customer can I purchase the Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension? No, not at this time. 1.5 What information is currently available about the Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension? A white paper entitled “Using Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension with AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008” provides a recommended workflow for storm sewer design using Civil 3D 2008 and Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension. This white paper along with detailed feature information on Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension can be found at www.autodesk.com/civil3d-stormwater. Additional technical and sales support materials will be available in the near future. 1.6 Is there a website for Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension? Yes, information on Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension is available on the Civil 3D product center, at www.autodesk.com/civil3d-stormwater.
2. Technology 2.1 Will Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension be integrated into Civil 3D? We are evaluating the long-term plan for how this functionality will be further integrated with Civil 3D. At this time we are not able to share any specifics. However, data can currently be exchanged between Civil 3D and Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension via LandXML or DXF. 2.2 In what languages is Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension available? Currently, Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension is available only in English. 2.3 Is the extension available worldwide? Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension is available worldwide to all current Civil 3D subscribers. 2.4 Does Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension support both metric and imperial units? Yes. 2.5 Is there any differences between Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension for AutoCAD Civil 3D and the stand-alone Intelisolve product that was available before the acquisition? There are no significant functional differences between Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension for AutoCAD Civil 3D and the stand-alone Intelisolve Hydraflow Storm Sewer product.
3. Installation, Configuration, and Licensing 3.1 Is Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension available for download or on CD/DVD? Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension is available for download by current Civil 3D subscription customers only. The download is available from the Autodesk Subscription Center. 3.2 Is Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension available for purchase as a stand-alone product? No, Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension currently is not available for purchase as a stand-alone product. At this time, it is available only to current Civil 3D subscription customers from the subscription center. 3.3 What are the system requirements for Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension?

The system requirements are the same as those for Civil 3D 2008, which are available at www.autodesk.com/civil3d. 3.4 How much additional disk space will I need to install Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension? Approximately 18 MB of disk space is required. 3.5 Does Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension require any additional software activation? No. There is no additional software activation associated with the extension. However, the End User License Agreement does inform users that the extension should be used only on a machine that has a current Civil 3D license.
4. Compatibility and Interoperability 4.1 Is there interoperability between Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension and Civil 3D? Currently design data can be exchanged between Civil 3D and Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension using LandXML 1.1 or via DXF. For more information about how to do this, refer to the white paper “Using Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension with AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008,” the Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension user’s guide, or the online help for the extension. 4.2 Can I install Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension to work with any version of Civil 3D? No, Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension can only be installed with AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008. 4.3 I already own a licensed copy of Intelisolve Hydraflow Storm Sewers software, can I continue to use it with Civil 3D? Yes. You can continue to use Intelisolve Hydraflow Storm Sewers software under the existing Intelisolve license agreement, either alongside Civil 3D or separate from Civil 3D. However, if you are a Civil 3D subscriber, we encourage you to uninstall any previous copies of Intelisolve Hydraflow Storm Sewers and install the Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension instead so that we can provide you with support and software updates for the extension as part of your Civil 3D subscription.
5. Consulting, Training, and Support 5.1 What learning and training materials are available for Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension? Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension has a comprehensive online help system to answer questions about its use. The user’s guide can be accessed from within the application via the Help menu. Additional information about Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension can be found at http://www.autodesk.com/civil3d-stormwater. 5.2 Who will provide technical support for Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension? 6. Subscription 6.1 Do I need to have subscription in order to get Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension? Yes, you must have a current Civil 3D subscription to download Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension from the subscription center.
