Click Fiberglass Cabinets Bid Specification 1.0 General. This item shall govern the purchase and installation of a fiberglass traffic cabinet (FTC) equivalent to the Wavetronix Click fiberglass cabinet. 2 .0 Product Description. The FTC shall be used to house the communication and power cables and devices used in a traffic detection system. 3.0 Physical. The FTC shall be available in teh following physical dimensions and weights: • • • • •
10 in. x 8 in. x 6 in. (25.4 cm X 20.3 cm x 15.2 cm) and 6 lbs. (2.7 kg) 12 in. x 10 in. x 6 in. (30.5 cm X 25.4 cm x 15.2 cm) and 8 lbs. (3.6 kg) 14 in. x 12 in. x 7 in. (35.6 cm X 30.5 cm x 17.8 cm) and 10.5 lbs. (4.8 kg) 16 in. x 14 in. x 7 in. (40.6 cm X 35.6 cm x 17.8 cm) and 14 lbs. (6.4 kg) 18 in. x 16 in. x 10 in. (45.7 cm X 40.6 cm x 25.4 cm) and 22.25 lbs. The FTC shall have an ambient operating temperature of -40°F to 250°F (-40°C to 120°C). The FTC shall have a UL 94-5V inflammability rating. The FTC door shall open at a 180° angle. The FTC shall be made of compression-molded fiberglass-reinforced polyester. The FTC shall provide chemical and UV protection through the use of SolarGuard™ technology. The FTC shall feature optional cable grips that provide a water-tight and weatherproof entry for running cables into the cabinet. The FTC shall have a overhang cover on a smooth-sided base as well as a raised cover for additional depth. The FTC shall have stainless steel latches, screws and a full-length hinge. The FTC shall feature a seamless polyurethane door gasket. The FTC shall be available in two latches: the hinged lock latch and the hinged padlock latch for quick entry. The FTC shall have an integrated mounting flange. The FTC shall ship with a backplate and mounting brackets 4.0 Mounting. The FTC shall be shipped with mounting brackets and can be attached to a pole using Band-it (or equivalent) mounting straps. 5.0 Connections. The FTC shall come equipped with a grounding post and shall also feature optional installed cable grips that provide weatherproof entry for cables. 6.0 Security. The FTC shall feature the following door locking options: • Hinged lock latch • Hinged padlock latch
7.0 Security. Before shipping, each FTC shall have passed a manufacturer’s test. The FTC shall be NEMA 4X-tested for indoors and outdoors to provide a degree of protection against: • Falling dirt • Rain
