® Clover Installation Guides For Clover® Go Clover® Mobile Clover® Mini This document provides instructions to setup the 3 types of Clover® terminals that are sold for Epicor Stand-Alone Processing. The three types of Clover ® devices covered by this guide are:    Clover Go Clover Mobile Clover Mini The contents of this document are for informational purposes only and this manual contains reference information about software products from Epicor ®. This guide can be found online at; https://help.clover.com/download-and-log-into-clover-go-app/?userDevice=iphone Download and Log into Clover Go app Clover Go Quick Start FAQs Where could I find the Clover Go app? For iOS users, search for “Clover Go” and download from the Apple App Store. Android users search for “Clover Go” and download from the Google Play Store. What can I expect after I sign up for my merchant account and what do I need to do to start taking payments? Once you sign up, you will receive 2 Welcome Emails and have the Clover Go reader shipped to you. You will need to: Click on the link in the Welcome Email with the subject line of “Welcome – Clover setup information” to sign into clover.com and establish your credentials (login & password) Click on the link in step 3 of the other welcome email or go to the App StoreSM or Google PlayTM to download the iOS or Android App Sign into app and activate using your clover.com credentials 1 July 23, 2016 Follow the prompts to set up your app and then you can start taking payments Log into Clover Go as a New User Open the Clover Go app on your iPhone or iPad Enter your email and password in the email & password fields and tap Log In After your account loads, you will be asked to create or enter your PIN. This is what you will use to log in to Clover Go from then on. Continue through the guided setup process. You’ve successfully logged into Clover Go, and should now see the Order screen. Need Help contact Clover Help at 855.853.8340. 2 July 23, 2016 Clover Mobile Setup Instructions Setting up Clover for Payment Processing This guide helps take people through logging into and setting up Clover. Clover's Web Dashboard can be used to add and edit inventory, manage employee permissions, and view reports. Please view the install video at https:// vimeo.com/123145396 Set up the Hardware Plug in the cables for your Clover Device Plug in Clover Mobile’s USB outlet to a nearby wall outlet Plug in Clover Mobile’s microUSB connector to the Clover Mobile port Press and hold the Power button to turn on Clover Mobile. You will know Clover Mobile is on when the Clover logo appears on the front screen. 3 July 23, 2016 Connect Clover Mobile to a Network Activate Device via 3G 1. 2. 3. Once your Clover Mobile has started, select your primary language that you would like Clover to be set up in. You will then be taken to the Network connection screen. Please wait about a minute for the SIM card to wake up and for the SIM card to verify that it’s connected to the 3G network Tap Next. 4 July 23, 2016 Activate Device via Wi-Fi 1. 2. 3. Once your Clover Mobile has started, select your primary language that you would like Clover to be set up in. You will then be taken to the Network connection screen. Tap Wi-Fi. Select your wireless network from the list of available wireless networks. 5 July 23, 2016 4. Enter in your wireless network password. NOTE: If you do not see your Wi-Fi network name, you may have a WEP or open access network. Please connect your Clover Mobile to a WPA or WPA2 network for PIC compliance reasons. 6 July 23, 2016 Updating Clover Software during device setup After Clover Mobile connects to the network for the first time, it will need to download and install the latest version of Clover. Your Clover Mobile will then automatically reboot. Depending on the device, you may need to install a second download. Activate your Clover Mobile Locate & enter your activation code Your activation code will be sent to you in both an email from [email protected] and a SMS to the phone number on your account. NOTE: Your merchant contact number must be a cell phone number in order to receive the SMS.   For your convenience, in addition to sending your activation code via email, Clover will also send your activation code via an SMS text message when your new device connects to the network for the first time. If you have already set up your Web Dashboard account, you can log into the Web Dashboard and find the activation code listed at the top as well Activation codes are unique and provided for each device   if you ordered multiple devices, you will need to enter the correct activation code per device The serial number of your device can be found at the top of the activation screen or on the underside of the Clover Mobile 7 July 23, 2016 Enter the 8-digit activation code using the number pad on the touchscreen If you enter the correct code, you will proceed to the next screen NOTE 8 July 23, 2016 If you believe your code is incorrect or you receive an error, please contact Clover Support. Install the Apps in the App Market Install apps and access the App Market After entering your activation code, Clover Mini may prompt you with a few questions about your business. Please answer them the most accurately, so Mini can be automatically set up with settings that are best for your business needs. After answering these questions, your apps should begin installing. Please wait until the install process is complete. Pair with Mobile Printer Optionally pair with Clover Mobile Printer After you complete initial setup, you have the option to pair your Clover Mobile printer and customize your device. 9 July 23, 2016 If you have a Clover Mobile Printer on hand, let’s pair it now: Tap Next to begin Load paper in your Clover Mobile printer by opening the Clover Mobile Printer and inserting the included paper roll. NOTE: At this stage, you can also make a note of the last 4 digits of the Clover Mobile Printer’s Serial Number. Turn your Clover Mobile Printer on by pressing and holding the power button on its underside After the Clover Mobile device detects nearby Clover Mobile Printers, tap Pair under Clover Mobile printer that you would like to pair with (the last 4 digits of the Clover Mobile Printer’s Serial Number should display on the screen). The Clover Mobile should print out a pairing code. 10 July 23, 2016 Use your Clover Mobile device to scan the pairing code that is printed out from the Mobile Printer to complete the pairing process. You should see that your Mobile Printer was paired successfully. NOTE: To scan, press and hold down on Clover Mobile’s trigger. 11 July 23, 2016 (Optional) You can Test the printer by tapping Test Printer to ensure that the Clover Mobile Printer can receive print requests from your Clover Mobile device Tap Done NOTE: If you would not like to pair your Clover Mobile with your Clover Mobile Printer at this time, tap Skip instead. 12 July 23, 2016 Clover Mini Setup Instructions Setting up Clover Mini for Payment Processing This guide helps take people through logging into and setting up Clover Mini. Please view the install video at https://vimeo.com/123143584 Setting up your Network for Clover Mini Below are the Network Instructions for 1+ Minis Do have a Clover dedicated router We recommend having a router that is dedicated to hosting Clover-related needs only, such as a Belkin N150. If you offer Wi-Fi for your customers or have other devices that need connection to the internet, please provide a separate router for them. Do you connect to Ethernet when possible over WiFi An Ethernet connection will always be preferred over a WiFi connection because an Ethernet connection is more stable and dependable. Do NOT use your neighbor's WiFi If you are using your neighbor’s Wifi solution and there is any disconnection, you will not have the ability to directly troubleshoot the issue. Your signal may also be weaker than if you had an internet source directly in your business’ vicinity. Do NOT use WEP if connecting Clover Mini to a wireless network Due to extra security around Clover Mini devices, Clover Mini will be compatible with WPA2 networks. They will not be compatible with WEP networks. Set up your Internet connection Internet is required for your Clove Mini(s) to function as designed. If you do not currently have an Internet connection at your business, please contact an Internet Service Provider (ISP) in your area. Your ISP may provide you with a router and modem. If you have the option to, please purchase a Belkin N150 router set aside for your Clover Mini(s). Please make sure that you know your network name. 13 July 23, 2016 NOTE If your business is located in a hotel, hospital, court house, pharmaceutical, or an environment where Internet connection is provided for and maintained solely by the collective building IT staff, you may need to contact your IT personnel to get your Clover Mini(s) connected to the Internet. In the case that you have a Static IP connection, you will need to provide the MAC address of your Clover Mini(s) to your IT personnel and they will need to provide with you with the additional information that you will need (like IP address, Default Gateway, etc.). Prepare to connect your Clover Mini to your network 1. Ensure that you have all of the Ethernet cords that you will need to connect to your Clover Mini(s). 2. Plug one end of an Ethernet cord into your router (or a switch that is connected to your router) and leave the other end of the Ethernet cord for your Clover Mini(s). 3. Do the above for all of your Clover Minis that you would like to connect via an Ethernet cable. NOTE We recommend connecting via an Ethernet connection for your Clover Minis over a Wi-Fi connection because an Ethernet connection is more stable and dependable. 4. Please make sure that you know the name of your network if you intend to connect your Clover Mini(s) via a Wi-Fi connection. Clover Go Quick Start FAQs Where could I find the Clover Go app?
