cmosSamBa HR-130 The cmosSamBa HR-130 from Sensovation is a high-resolution camera system, which applies the latest advances in cmos image sensor technology for cost-effective commercial applications. The cmosSamBa HR-130 consists of a remote head and a main camera control unit (CCU). The tiny 1” remote head may be as far as 10 m from the electronics unit. Intelligence can be scaled up by optionally adding a DSP System to the CCU. In all models, a RISC CPU system handles Ethernet communications, camera functions and control of external components, such as auto-focus, motors, light sources or temperature control. FPGAs provide accurate sensor timing and fast “inline” hardware data processing. Opto-isolated I/Os allow the cmosSamBa HR-130 to control external motors, electro-optics or temperature control etc. The cmosSamBa HR-130 interfaces to the host (PC or embedded system) via 100 Base-T Ethernet, and operates from a single 5 VDC power supply. For applications in which very high frame rates are necessary, an industry standard digital frame grabber interface or Camera-Link interface is optionally available. The Fill Factory IBIS-5A is a cmos imaging device representing state-of-the art in cmos and has exceptional specifications. Notable is its high fill-factor (QE) and hence high sensitivity, low dark current and low read-noise. It allows global synchronous shuttering (“no readout during exposure, no exposure during readout”), sub-area imaging, windowing and subsampling. It can furthermore operate in “multi-slope” mode, whereby its dynamic range attains 100 dB.
