REAR DETAIL CMS6 ICTB The Tannoy CMS6 ICTB is a full bandwidth (75Hz - 20kHz), high quality ceiling monitor system based around a 165mm (6.5”) point source transducer. The CMS6 ICTB is made for applications where ceiling heights may be compromised, but where sonic quality for music and speech reinforcement are required. The CMS6 ICTB is designed for blind mount applications, offering simple and cost-effective installation in new and existing buildings, while providing quality music reproduction and voice intelligibility for critical applications. INSTALLED The ICT drive unit is attached to a discrete 9” baffle for architectural appeal. The CMS6 ICTB is not equipped with a back can enclosure, permitting the speaker to be installed in wall or ceiling cavities of 2 3/4”. The transformer settings (15, 7.5, 3.75, 1.9 Watts) are easily commissioned by connecting the input wire to the appropriate transformer terminal during installation. A pre-installation ring (MR 60B) can be ordered for further structural support. DRIVER DETAIL The CMS6 ICTB is available for use in 4½ operation, and a THP 15 Watt transformer can be ordered and mounted to the baffle during installation for use in a distributed system. CEILING MONITOR SYSTEMS SIDE VIEW The design of the ICT™ drive unit addresses the two most common component failures experienced in background music and sound reinforcement systems; the tweeter and the crossover. ICT or Inductive Coupling Technology uses a wireless electromagnetic tweeter that does not require a crossover and cannot be burned out from heavy use or misuse. The ICT dome uses a molded plastic cone and nitrile rubber surround, further enhancing durability and long term reliability.
